Hey Teddy!
You posted this at my forum (i hope you come back!) and I just wanted to say what I noticed.
And also I suggested something on the forum topic so come back to see what it is!
This was really well done for a first fic! It flows well and the characters act like themselves, even the kissing scene was believable, which is hard to find with DM/HG.
Some things I noticed:
(1) In general when you have dialogue you should put a Comma before the end tag.
EX: I know, but who cares about him, we should be focusing on the potion(COMMA)” Hermione whispered back.
“Oh. Right(COMMA)” Ron said gloomily.
That's about it. Greta job!
