I love this look into Christine's mind. That she truly saw Erik as a mentor/guardian figure and the realization that he saw her as a woman was quite startling and even frightening

Oof. That IS a pretty angry unmasking! I do love his conflicted emotions though. He still wishes to comfort her despite feeling so betrayed by what she'd done.

Such an accurate and beautifully written portrayal of Christine's thoughts during the Final Lair!

"His arm was extended as if to pull the invisible string which bound us" - this is such a lovely line, and it perfectly encapsulates the intense, seemingly unbreakable bond between Erik and Christine

"this lifeless model was perhaps his only opportunity ever to have her in his home again" *weeps silently in the corner*

"focus upon her voice instead of the beautiful vessel which contained it" - a perfect summary of Erik's thoughts during MOTN, I'm sure hahaha. Though I don't think he focused hard enough hehe

I love how you gave us a window into Christine's thoughts in this piece. She's so trusting and innocent, yet there's also bravery there.
