I actually like the dialogue heavy first part; it contrasts nicely with the description of the end. You captured their emotions nicely too, with both of their regret.

Wow, that was really good. I'm not normally a L/S fan, but the story of them in DE was really...romantic? Not the right word. Tragic, and I usually like tragic love in HP. Well done. =D
