Truly poignant - heartbreaking to the last word.
I appreciated the strain between Hermione's ever-present practical side - stitching her together, desperately trying to stay stoic - and the emotional one we see much less often. Clinging to false hope, sentiments of someone who understood, or might have in another time, another place.
Your style itself is everything poetic and engaging. Though it's been a while since "A Pause To Say Goodbye" was published, I can't thank you enough for writing it. It is a treasure.

I've been too traumatised to read much Harry Potter fiction since Snape died, since I only ever read HG/SS. This is almost a goodbye to the pairing, at least as far as if was ever possible in cannon. I loved the both the idea, and the way you wrote this fic. You’ve got just the right amount of emotion in there, without it becoming overly dramatic. Great!

I really liked this because it's what I was thinking of when I read the book. I love this pairing and you wrote a very nice goddbye story.

So, finally someone mourned for Snape... the mourning was not a topic in HP7.. I think, Mrs. Rowling rushed over several kinds of things... (I still wonder, what Hermione else does.. I can't imagine her only as a housewife and mother!)Yeah, I'm a HG/SS-shipper, so thanx for this.. I'm glad, Snape is still on the good side and despite his death, we can still make something out of it like AUs, or someone pulls Snape out of a different time line or universe/dimension.. or he just gets another chance (in another body), because the gods/great spirits have mercy with him... there are still enough ideas...

I like it, even if its so sad. Why they have to kill Snape? (well, I had a feeling Snape would die in book 7 ever since I finished book 6.. but still..)
