I really doubt that was the real rugrats because the story is mainly in Angelicas mind and in rugrats all grown up she dies of a drug overdoes with all her 'creations'( Tommy, chuky, ect) who are all people she heard about or had seen already dead and made in her mind. The only one who was real was Dil (Tommy's younger brother) and the reason he is a mental hadicap was because Angelica hit hm alot in the head when he was younger because he was the only one who wouldn't disappear when she got angry with him.
