Hmm... It's really interesting! I like Ino's prophet-y thing. The young child... well.. I have several guesses!
1) It's some part of naruto that got locked away, that Naruto never knew about
2) It's Naruto, the part of him that was a child that never got to experience a real childhood

4) It's some odd part of Light
5) It's some part of Kyuubi.

This story is surprisingly much deeper than the summary led me to believe. I think these are the most complex depictions of manipulation I've ever seen. I like how you're giving minor characters valid roles in the chapters, but not having them become annoying or bothersome to the plot. You keep it interesting by having each person being decieved in their own way. (And, might I add it's way better then that stuff about deception Shakespeare wrote. Yours has more depth and meaning to it, not to mention is a bit more creative.)
I especially enjoyed that look into the mindset of Naruto's clone, and the mentions of the 'Liar's Place', although all the puppet metaphors are starting to creep me out. That's what I get for reading fanfiction so late at night. :(
Overall, this fanfiction is delightfully twisted, and in a few more chapters will probably be in my mental book of the best story ever. (I would have said best fanfiction ever, but that wouldn't have been a very high complement.) It's probably the only good Death Note Naruto crossover I've ever read, although not much has happened so far involving Light besides that whole mysterious-mindscape-child thing.
