Excellent chapter. Loved the moment with Teddy and Harry at the memorial, and looking at the faces of the fallen...I'll admit to watery eyes as they looked at Lupin and Tonks.

Great set up with the plot of the story too!

I was gonna get a review out sooner, but book club got in the way... Love this. Your Ron is very, very true to canon, and a lovely build between the last chap. of DH to the Epilogue (even with his pesky Slytherin prejudices...I'm working on him ;0) But I really like how you've developed him, and his need to get out from under Harry and forge his own path. I'll admit, I love the idea of Ron at the joke shop. It seems to be a better fit for him than an Auror. Who knows? Maybe George and Ron continued on with a line of Defensive products too. But you've done extremely well with the dialogue for each of the characters, maintaining the fundamental relationships among our core three and developing Ginny too (I really like her, her strengths and insecurities, in your story)

But, for Harry, this is really well-done. It's very in character that he would take things for granted (comes from being the Chosen One, I s'pose) but him with his children, him thinking about his children, thinking about Ginny...that was all in character. He's grown, but he's still plagued with the same weakness to be everything for everyone and not have anything left over for anyone else. Ooh, er, sorry...got a bit long-winded there ;0)

So sorry it's taken me a bit to get over to your works, but I definitely don't regret it. This is a good opening. My biggest thing about Harry Potter is that I've always felt he had a tendency to take things for granted, or, indeed, people. He tends to get tunnel vision, and exclude others at the price and cost of something special and close to him. This, I think, was captured very nicely here. Feel free to disagree with me about our Mr. Potter, of course. I'll definitely be reading this work.

Thank you for writing this! I thoroughly enjoyed your writing style, characterizations, plot and story development. Your professionalism shines in this and I was not at all surprised to read that you are a writer by trade.

There's something so natural and plausible in everything you've written here that there were moments where I forgot that I was reading fanfiction. Brilliant! A pure joy to read and a look into a very 'realistic' continuation of the story of Harry and friends. I suppose we could call it Life After JK Rowling.

I was a bit skeptical to go looking for any continuation fics for HP, having been quite satisfied with the end of the series. Satisfied in the sort of way that many anime or other fandoms rarely leave me. I think it's because of Rowling's purposeful attempt to fuel things like fanfiction with her epilogue. But Somehow, that left me without a creative spark or care about the continued life of Harry. Her attempt to open up a door for us while shutting the door on herself, very effectively shut it for me.

So again, I really have to thank you for putting a stopper in the door and letting me take a glimpse into a continued life. I've read your other stories and I really will try to get better at leaving reviews! You can blame yourself for being so free from mistakes, that I can't even think of any constructive critism!

Looking forward to your next updates. Keep em coming!

I can certainly see this story as a labor of love. It’s a story worthy of J.K. Rowling.

* The plot was well though out (and executed).

* There was a good level of humor - without being silly.

* There was a good use of romance – that wasn’t too…melodramatic.

* There was a great use of drama – that kept me entertained.

* And a great mystery that made me want to read more.

Well done.

Harry,” said Ginny, struggling to peer over his shoulder. “There’s an owl at the window.”

“Let him get his own girl,” Harry growled.

Ginny giggled. “Harry, come on. . .”

Harry twisted around to glare at the tawny owl who was tapping persistently at one of the thick panes. “Go away! I’m kissing my wife!”

who knew Harry had such a clever wit...

Al and James who were popping in and out of each other’s rooms like hyperactive jack-in-the-boxes.

LOL.

You know the sort of happiness that is hard to look at? Well, "I'm Daddy!" is sort of that exclusive kind. Very poignant, makes you feel he's so happy. Great nuances.

It's over already?

Well, that's one interesting ride. You put so many details and thoughts into everything from the names down to the Weasley family branches (four P's in a pod? Cool.) I really like how you end the story ("I'm Daddy!" best describes Harry after everything he's gone through; he really deserves it).

Hmm...I can't say anything else since it seems just so good.

Hope you'll have more stories posted.
