I like your story. It stayed close to Anne McCaffey's but you put your own spin to it. Plus I like how you had the minor dragon colors as main characters. I personally thing that more needs to be know about these browns, greens, and blues more then the other colors because everyone who reads Anne McCaffey knowns about the bronzes and golds, but not the rest. I also like how you wrote about the drudges too. I think their side of the story needs to be told, and yes I do agree that the drudges are slaves or almost to that point. Over all, I think you wrote a great story. Keep going.

I sat and cried and cried! Especially when you said it was based on a true story... My eyes are so swollen I can hardly see! They were TRUE heroes, weren't they? I hope we NEVER have such a situation ever again...

I felt closure with this. That's good! Usually I don't feel closure in Anne McCaffrey stories, and I certainly didn't feel closure with the books (Dragonriders of Pern series).
But then again I'm a sucker for romance. =] Lessa and F'lar all the way! And poor F'nor and Brekke. Despair-inducing. How ya like them apples?

I've just discovered your Pern stories and I would like to tell you that I think that they are both wonderful. I've really enjoyed them. In this chapter I thought that it was a good choice to have Melly assert herself after the queen egg hatched. It shows that she will make a great Weyrwoman. I am also interested to see how the impression of a bronze on an infant plays out. Keep the stories coming!
