It looks like things are wrapping up nicely! As this story nears an end, I can see other new ones emerging, Benellin's especially. He is certainly the youngest dragonrider I've ever read about! As usual, I'm eagerly awaiting your next chapter.

I undstand about moving. Your story come at the right time. Just what I needed to read after a long day. Of working on thing needed to be done. Good luck with your new job! :) I enjoyed the story so far. But having a baby Impress a bronze well it your story. But I think its going to be hard for that little one to be understand both him/his new dragonnet, overall I enjoy the rest of the story. :)

do i sence the start of a new story being formed? i don't think that in the history of pern a baby's impressed. might be an interesting challenge, especially during weryling training. can't wait to see what you do with it.
i'm so glad that melly impressed a queen. if anyone in the weyr deserved the queen, it was her. wonder how long it would've taken the queen to find melly if she hadn't made it to the hatching grounds when she did.
don't know if i really liked the fact that jarrin-j'ring now-impressed a dragon. he would make a great weyrharper, though.

My favorite part was baby Benellin impressing the hungry and forlorn looking tiny bronze dragonet. Lystar's reaction made me laugh out loud and it was what any mother would think, even if it was just a puppy who'd found her child. How Lystar deal's with it is a tale I can't wait to read. The potential of the baby and dragon growing up together and creating a legendary dragon pair can't be overlooked.
The story veres a bit off my understanding of impressions generally written. You seem to suggest with candidates rushing towards the eggs and that Melly, Jarrin and Jory to some extent influenced their dragons selection rather than it being solely the dragon's choice. If helping a dragon out of a shell, or being the first to a dragon guides impressions there would be chaos on the sands. This took me out of the story and out of the moment. Which took away for the mood and scene you were setting.
Still, I really enjoyed this chapter, canon breaking or not.

Well, I'm game. This was great, Melly deserved the little queen. I'm so glad. She was a bit of a shock though, wasn't she. I know about moving though, just moved a couple of weeks ago to be near my own job.

I've really enjoyed this tale from the beginning and Melly impressing the little queen will be a very good thing, I hope, for the Wyer. Don't know about the baby impressing a bonze, but we'll see how that goes too.
Wonderful tale and enjoying it very much. I'm going to be sorry to see it ending in the next few chapters.

They do the hard work (oil) that keep a Wyer,Hold, and/or Hall together. they get the thankless jobs. Its good that the Wyer tries its beest for all the people in the Wyer.

Yes! :) When that illness hits, just like in Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern and the newer Pern books written by Anne/Todd McCaffrey Dragonmen must Fly When Thread is in the Sky! Or in the case of the new books they do what they can to help, So their Wyerfolk are there when they are need the most.

Good that young gal that greenrider found, something to do, help with this sickness. Now only have to team her up with the harper the one who can draw maybe they can finding the pattern.
