Just a contribution, Rowling herself admits that mathematics isn't her strong suit, so her making a mistake is certainly not out of the question... It's also a possibility that the McKinnons referred to in Lily's letter were a different branch of the family.
Great story! I've been reading through all of them actually and there are some very good reads. Thanks for sharing.

I did not get teary eyed while reading this.

Okay but they were infisimil.
Lots of people believe that Marlene wasn't killed along with her family. And this photo was taken before Harry was born so that means Cordac dissappeared 10 months (I think) before the end of the war.

I absolutely loved this story, favorited it and then fowarded it to my friend. :] It gave me chills-Moody's grim recount of the fates of those pictured against the cheerful scene! E! Excellent-and as for the time problem, well, Lily says "McKinnons" so it's possible that something else happened to the family in addition to Marlene's disappearance.
It's also slightly possible that she just heard about Marlene's disappearance-they're at war after all, and it wouldn't be feasible for everyone to keep track of everyone else right? (Maybe it would've even been safer that way in case one of them got caught and Voldemort used Legilimency on them and was able to find out even a little bit of some plans!) In addition to that, they had to go into hiding, possibly for some time before they used the Fidelius, so you know, self preservation thing might make it easy to lose track of those that aren't your closest loved ones.
But that's just what I think about it :] It might just be more feasible to think that JKR made a mistake XD.
Excellent, excellent story either way! It was fabulous.

Oh gosh ur really relly at makign me cry but in such a good way. i loved this almost as much as the "little more love" fanifc u wrote. maybe try writing some of ur own material instead of HP (even though its brillinat) u'll probably end up writing somehting globally inspiring. thnx for posting it made my day. ur a very skilled author

This was incredible, amazing! And those abowe are my favs! :) It was sad, but in the same time conforting, it was realy good!

Omg!
I truly truly LOVED this FF and the idea for it!
It seems so original!
Btw, I really liked how each character was shown acting an dimmediatel after that it was just stated what happened to them… that made it seem so much more real and sad… like flashbacks or something!
I don’t usually like non-romance or non-humour FFs unless theyre really good, but this was well written :) and is going onto my faves list :)
