What's kinda FUNNY, is this series is BASED on loses.. Now tell me, Obedito,(lost his girl a long time ago.. wah wah)... Kakashi KILLED HIS TEAMMATE (not a truly scarring thing if you consider sakura and sasuke)... his dad to suicide and minato to the kyuubi... OKAY that deserves some thought... negji/hiashi lost their father/brother, but that was only due to the third's INCOMPETENCE. and some kind of martyr complex he had... Negji SUPPOSEDLY still has his mother SOMEWHERE... sasuke lost his entire FAMILY, but here is where it gets GARBLED... He didn't WATCH them all die, he was late to the show, he didn't SEE any of them (possible exception of his father) die... He came in AFTER THE FACT, also he didn't "SURVIVE".. he didn't fight, he didn't run, he didn't hide.. HE FROZE UP LIKE A TERRIFIED BUNNY... he was SPARED, he's no "survivor", he's just got good PLOT ARMOR. the Third?.. lost his wife, booh hoo, guess what? It comes with the job... NOW LUMP them ALL together, and you STILL don't get being tortured FOR YEARS by your mother... See why this story died? NOBODY bounces back from that and NO MOM IS DUMB ENOUGH to do it.

I would personally throw the the third OUTSIDE of that mindset, he isn't being "friendly", he's insuring the "weapon" stays loyal to konoha and trying to persuade naruto not to BUTCHER kushina... So he SHOULD NOT be considered "precious" in any shape of the word. It's patently TRANSPARENT to ANYBODY, I have no idea why it's not to naruto. Actually given cannon doesn't EVEN HAVE a "council" it just shows how incompetent and EVIL the man is. SO MANY THINGS could have gone better, FORCED the villagers to like him (he has an entire CLAN of mind-walkers for heaven's sake), told them his lineage, NOT PUT HIM ON TEAM SUICIDE... had the other clans raise naruto (there is no imbalance of power if they ARE ALL raising him.. just make sure the hyuuga don't try their stupid seal and that the uchiha are HANDS OFF)... made sure jiryiaya actually TAUGHT the boy instead of GOOFING OFF! (then the three year trip would have been... PRODUCTIVE instead of a WASTE OF TIME)The whole series isn't a waste (obviously) but everything from the beginning of shippuden on, WAS. sasuke becomes powerful (as laughable as that is, sakura becomes powerful, which totally confuses me, the rookie 9 become chunnin and Naruto?.. He's stuck with the short end of the stick AGAIN!) Somehow out of THREE sannin and training with arguably the STRONGEST of all of them, all he learns his how to make his rasengan BIGGER! A move that only took him a few weeks to learn in the FIRST PLACE! He didn't even learn about elemental affinities till he got back! THIS STORY? He should all but SMASH every barrier the cannon puts on! and should MAKE the hokage notice that team suicide is NOT the best team to have him on, he's TOO powerful and quite frankly, TOO DAMAGED.. sasuke is a power-hungry, narcissistic, megalomaniac spoiled BRAT, sakura needs BEAT HALF TO DEATH to explain this isn't a love story, and kakkashi is so depressed/lazy as to be completely INEFFECTIVE as a teacher. all in all, a horrible idea for a "relatively" normal jinchuriki, but for a tortured, mentally abused one? THAT WAS DONE BY HIS OWN MOTHER?... This is an "oil soaked stack of cloths next to a PILE of TNT and you just struck a match!".

GROW A BRAIN... where OTHERWISE ON THE ENTIRE body, would NEEDLES make any difference whatsoever?... KUNAI knives? Well those make lots of differences... but are PROBABLY fatal... I just think it's completely stupid that naruto BEATS/knocks out/kills a CHUNNIN, then proceeds to do it AGAIN and beats zabuzza (a jounnin) THEN fends of orochimaru (a sannin), then single-handedly takes out the one-tail and SOMEHOW is still a gennin.. would be enough to make ME leave the village.

haku shouldn't CARE about scarring zabuzza, that kinda talk leads to fans thinking something else.. regardless of the situation, haku is EITHER a teenaged boy or GIRL, WAY out of zabuzza's wheelhouse... SO it's just stupid.. hit him in the neck? HOW ABOUT "it's the only place needles would WORK" what other place did he want him to hit him? THE FACE?

Maybe it got dumbed down, too many sisters marrying brothers, too many moms marrying sons, father and daughters.. that kinda thing. Still it seems he got the shallow end of the gene pool.. maybe not itachi's disease.. or maybe it hasn't hit yet (watch out four coughs)

"it makes sense that with it gone they would turn against the child"?.. Ummm no, it doesn't, not if your like past the age of 6... "what/who brought it?", "If it were powerful enough to make EVERYONE/THING look that weak, is it a good idea to mess with the vessel it's KEPT INSIDE OF?"..etc... etc.. This is ADULT mindset. (remember, these are SUPPOSED to be FULLY grown adults, that have lived side-by-side with super-powered soldiers ALL their lives).
Heck, since he was gone for so long after the incident (thanks to orochimaru) they shouldn't even REMEMBER him, after all they all forgot that the name "uzumaki" meant anything REALLY, REALLY fast.
