I know you will probably never see this review as your account is already deleted but just wanted to say that your work was very good and wish you all the luck for the future!

the snowball fight, though unexpected, was great fun to read! can't wait to finish this.

A fitting ending to a wonderful story.

Honestly though, the one of the greatest symbols of trust someone can give you is falling asleep in your presence if they're really tired. Or sleeping on top of you. There's something about that that is very sweet.
Also Ada means father in Elvish, and I keep reading it as such. Every time I read this story it's very awkward having to not think of the dog as "Dad"
Love this, I'll be finishing it (again) tonight

Wonderful story, as usual! Kudos to you both for writing such an enjoyable read.

when konig says "not to expect help from their seafaring friend" you accidently put strauss name instead of konigs.
this is the only little mistake i saw in this whole fic, which my ebook reader says has 463 pages. so, kudos to you for your very good work.

As i learned from Mr. Doyles stories, you should not believe a character is really dead until the body shows up...

i thank you immensely for writing this. it is seldom that authors manage to keep up tension, logic, good writing style and storytelling constantly throughout such a long fic.
not to mention your excellent characterization.
i really enjoyed reading it. i read it on my ebook reader, because my eyes hurt when reading such lengthy fic on a computer screen. your fic made for several very thrilling evenings.

I LOVE how you characterized Holmes and Watson (and everyone, really). The whole thing was adeptly composed. I don't normally read fics so long (short attention span), but the skillful writing kept me going. Well done!

This being the second time I've read through this story, it's past time I reviewed! I love everything about this piece, the friendship fluff, the excellent in-character-ness, and Lachlan and Renie, who totally steal the show while being wonderfully rounded. For some reason they make me think of The Adventures of Tintin. I wish I could read more of their adventures as well.

I must say, I remember reading this the first time and immediately connecting the wood after the second "nightmare night". I also remember being driven mad by Holmes failing to catch on. Reading it a second time, I feel his lack of equilibrium, thus explaining why he was missing it, while I, the reader, was on to it at once.

I like that your characterisation of Holmes is, so far, more consistent than Doyle's P Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to write and post all the work that you have - I am greatly enjoying them! I wish that allowed for a download feature as I would love to have your excellent work on hand to read during long travels )

Man, Watson's dream...I'm not entirely sure what to say. Reading fanfiction for a few years now, I've come across countless of dream sequences (love that kind of stuff), but after a while the emotional impact loses its potency. But Watson's dream brought it all back. I don't know how you did it, probably descriptive language like the smells and the haunted looks was the key, but I got a ton of feels from this, completely sympathizing and being enraptured by the dream, especially at the beginning and the underwater part (dream logic never hurts!). And I like Watson's reaction after he wakes up. He's just so shaken, so scared...I guess his inner demons may never go away. In any case, great job as always; and merry Christmas!

Loved this story so much! As always you both did a fabulous job which had me up all night to finish! :D (I admit to not believing you had actually killed of Lachlan, I refused to believe it until they produced a body... Although I did cry anyway. XD) Good job, guys!
