It may just be me but I have the feeling especially from the very end that the only reason Douglas is such a jerk to Cathleen is because of the grandmother...IDK for sure but whatevs! Really great story you got here to so far even if I'm not the biggest fan of her father!

To tell you the truth...I think her dad is a...very rude word. And her family. But...eh, anyways, I loved this! I also don't like her much; she's very steriotipical (and yes, I know it isn;t her fault)...but I love this story! :D Great job. (:

I think that you have a really good story going on here, and the way you presented Douglas fit well with the indirect characterization. It was well written, and I hope to see more chapters out... not soon, because I'm aware of how difficult it is to write sometimes, but nevertheless, it would be awesome.
