I really like it. It seems as if it could be posssible. I believe Ms. Bronte would have been agreeable to some changes to her text had she lived long enough. I like the writing style and the vocabulary. Will you continue righting about other subjects? We will be looking forward to anything you may choose.

I love it! I've read almost all the fanfiction on the web. Some I like, some are not even related. But I had already said it and I repeat that I love this one. You have a real understanding of the plot and the characters and you follow them near. I must read some others, now. and you'll hear from me later.

I really liked the story, until the chapter 8 - the proposal. It felt wrong and out of the place because Bronte has different style and it didn't fit in this. Since you changed the story I don't understand why copy-paste the whole chapter. I think you should rewrite it in your own words even if you want to keep true to the book.

I love Jane Eyre too! This is such a good story and the techniques and the language is much the same :). I love the proposal chapter 3 Has to be one of my favourites :).

This was pretty good! It was very interesting to read a version of Jane Eyre that has less strife! It was not better than what Bronte wrote, but no one can ever defeat her when it comes to enchanting a reader! Good job!

Thank you so much for this story and for bringing it to a satisfying conclusion.
This last chapter-kind of an epilogue, really-seemed a little short and rushed. But ultimately a very satisfying end to this tender story.
I hope you will grace us with another Jane Eyre fan fic some time!

Oh my gosh! I absolutely love this, as Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books. I would so like to see more! As you will all agree, all stories deserve to be properly continued. :)

Yes, as much as I enjoy every chapter of this story, I think you are right about this one ... it seems to be slightly off track.
I'm wondering whether it really needs the Jane's POV at the end. I think this is the only chapter that mixes her POV and Edward's in the same chapter. Maybe that's part of what is awkward here.
What if the thoughts that are attributed to Jane were instead presented as what Edward is thinking. "She now realizes I deceived her ... Will she ever forgive me? ... I know her love is strong and true, but have I ruined things between us ... etc etc." ? That would let you get those ideas (and that angst) on the page, but eliminate the changing voices/POVs.
Another thought: I wonder if some of the back-and-forth dialog between Briggs and Edward could be streamlined. ? I generally appreciate dialog instead of narration-it's more active and colorful. But in this case, because the dialog is based so heavily on the original story, I wonder if it would help to concentrate more on Edward's thoughts during the conversation and streamline the conversation itself a bit. I don't feel strongly about that, but maybe it's worth a try.
I like the part about how Edward "felt a cruel triumph" over Mason. That's a great description, I think, of how he loved proving Mason wrong. It's kind of sad, of course. But well written.
