Steph would never turn on Ranger but honestly he would deserve it if she served his balls on a platter to the State investigators... I read all five chapters in a go and I'm loving this story. Though I'm not loving Ranger that much right now...and with Steph moving in with Morelli, if I didn't know better I'd say you've turned into a CC. ;-P But I know you'll make it all better in the end.

Welcome back. Great job as always. Yikes, why can't it ever just be a normal day for Steph. Poor girl, she can't catch a break. I really don't think Steph would say anything if she did get arrested, if anything I kind of see her taking the blame to save a certain MIB. She is so loyal that I don't see her doing it any other way.

Dayam girl! Any possibility Joe had something to do with them re-opening the case? I wouldn't think he would, since he's an accessory, but you just never know. I hate that Steph & Ranger hate each other's guts now. I really don't like Joe, so I'm really ambivalent about the story so far. I sure hope you're not yanking our chain saying it's a Babe story and then blindsiding us! I was really hoping Ranger'd get his head out of his a$$ and tell Steph how he really feels. What's up with that anyway? Is Steph really ready to "settle" and be a 'burg wife? I just don't see that after all the running away from the possibility she's done. Hope you update soon. Um... That chapter has left me almost speechless. That was fantastic. You managed to incorporate so many different aspects in what (for you) was a short chapter. Your writing truly is special in the way it can invoke so many emotions in your reader with just a few well chosen words.
You have brilliant BELIEVABLE plot lines and you don't rush your stories which is very refreshing.
I guess now that I've pandered to the review slut I better actually get on with talking about this chapter and what happened. I loved Steph in this chapter, the way she handled Ranger when he was being such a shit to her and everyone else at Rangeman, she totally beat him at his own game and I was cheering her on all the way.
While I appreciate how Joe is being there for her in the early part of this story I'm glad for the sake of all of us Babe lovers that you don't rub our faces in the cupcake stuff too much. Even tho I will never ever be a CUPCAKE I'm happy that she has someone to turn to for support while all of this is going on.
As for what will come next well heaven only knows what you're cooking up for us all now. I really can't see Steph being taken seriously as a suspect in the Abruzzi case, nor can I see her ever telling the police what she knows about Ranger and Hector's involvement in his death. She has far too much loyalty to them both to turn around and do something like that.
I'm enjoying the fact that we have a Steph in this story who doesn't need a man to come running to her rescue and hope it continues. The way you write her she possesses a lot of courage, strength and independence and it makes for a very refreshing change to see her able to take care of herself and not reliant on either of the men in her life.
Hopefully we'll see a return of Ranger very soon in this story and get to see him get the kick up the ass he sorely needs at the moment.
Can't wait to see where you'll take us next.

Wow. I am glad no one was hurt! We've had some family and friends go through the same thing. Hope things get better soon.
I cannot decide how Steph will try to protect Ranger and Hector, but I think she will. I also think they will both do anything to keep Steph out of any trouble. I'm afraid of Hector taking the fall (though I guess it really could have been him, not Ranger who killed Abruzzi, or they both did) I cannot decide if your title refers to what has already been done for love, killing Abruzzi, or what is going to be done, taking the fall.
And how the heck if is she gonna end back up with Ranger? I know...Babe will prevail. Thanks for the new chapter.
