LOL about the Jersey Girl references - you know from experience; right? another LOL? Boss being a four letter word. I choked on the food references... fava beans - did you choose that on purpose? The whole time I'm reading Steph describing her life with Joe I"m holding my breath, knowing something is coming, thinking to myself "what is Stayce going to write?"
My heart was thumping - you did great with how the Abruzzi thing is coming back. Very good - you are making this believable and viable... can't think right now what other word would work. But underneath all this, I think i was feeling like Steph. My heart hurts, my stomach feels funny, and I swear my skin is on edge. Can that really happen? =) Can't describe it any other way.
Joe - as you know, I love him, like him, and I appreciate tons how you wrote him in this chapter. I read the part with he and steph talking twice and want to say thanks. I especially like the reassurance he gives Steph, the love he's showing, and the humor he tries to invoke to lighten the mood. Again, thanks.
The ending... you're not going to make us wait long, are you? This is killing me. Again, thanks! I absolutely love, love this story. Have a great day! Cyber bouquet to you!

Your writing is amazing- the humorous portions are hysterical, the love scenes are HOT and the drama and the angst are palpable. Is it too much to hope that you are a Babe? Poor guy didn't have a clue about what he was getting into. I guess the saying, "the larger they are, the harder they fall" applies here...LOL.
As for the Abruzzi case is concerned, I guess this is your 'let the games begin' warning to us readers. We're in for a bumpy ride aren't we? Can't wait for more!

Stayce, you're the devil! What an evil place to leave a chapter! I shouldn't be surprised, though, 'cause all of your chapters have evil little cliffhangers.
Whew. It's disturbing about the Abruzzi case and how the ME's declared cause of death to be murder. Hopefully, Ranger and Hector were especially good and there's no proof in their involvement. I'm nervous at the thought of Steph being questioned. Hopefully, she doesn't give off that "I know who did it" vibe to the cops. And I hope she doesn't get arrested. Don't know how she could, though, 'cause she had Joe as an alibi when Abruzzi was killed. I could so see Steph getting arrested and Ranger showing up to turn himself in. At least, I could see the old Ranger turning himself in. This Ranger is a jerk. It's funny how Steph beat him at his own game and he had to run off to Miami because of it. LOL.

Finally had a chance to read this chapter... and wow! I like the tension and fighting - probably because I know you'll bring it all around to a HEA eventually. Ranger being a jerk sometimes seems more believable than Ranger being sweet and romantic. And I love how you write Steph - she stands up for herself, and she's got spunk. It's great.
I'm looking forward to seeing where you're going next, but I'm not going to speculate - I'll just wait and see! :)

Wow, girl that chapter had a bit of everything and every kind of Ranger. How could I not love it. Ranger was so very hot but damn girl he was cold at times too. But who am I trying to kid, as long as he's in town I'm happy. But I guess I wasn't supposed to be happy because bam he's gone again. I take back what I said about not minding the Cupcake aspects to the story, I'm now begging you to make the horror stop. lol. She can't live with Morelli and actually consider his proposal. Its just lucky that I have such faith in your brilliance and know that no matter how grim things may end up looking you can still pull out that HEA ending and save the day.
Anyway I know this is extremely garbled but my only excuse is I'm incredibly tired at the moment.
As for the Abruzzi stuff well I'm keeping the faith there too. I just hope for the sake of Morelli and the cops that they don't decide to make Ranger mad.
