'having the insane man handcuffed and mercilessly thrown into jail'. I almost screamed aloud at that line. You can't put Kimblee in jail! KILL HIM! Great job with this story, it makes an awesome oneshot, but I think it would also make a pretty amazing mulit-chapter fic! Love it

I think more attention should have been given to the people who died, even if it is only a sentence or two more. Ed takes death very hard, as seen from the incidents with his mother and Nina (Tucker's daughter turned chimera). Plus, he would also have to deal with the survivors guilt. He is the kind of person who would beat himself up for not saving the others, or dying trying (As seen from his repeated savings of Al and all his other heroic tenancies).
For someone who has been broken, Ed seems to be getting over the trauma much faster than normal.
If you want to read a great story about being broken from trauma, try "Save Me" by Sevlow. It's angst-ridden and dark, but one of the most brilliant, realistic and heart-wrenching stories I have ever read. In the story, Mustang is captured during an uprising in Lior and is tortured both mentally and physically. The story begins as Roy makes his slow recovery after the terrible trauma.
I think this story was good, but needs some refining to become great.
Sorry bout the long rant ^_^*
