Haha, This is awesome! I usually have a real thing against 3rd person narratives but you've pulled it together really well and earned total kudos for the bones joke at the end.

I love how you really captured the way Booth completely accepts Brennan for who and what she is, that he even finds comfort in it. And the dialogue at the end made me smile:-) That is so them. Your style of writing is very enjoyable and draws the reader in. I could tell you really get the characters and was impressed with the insight into you provided, which was really in line with who the character is. Thanks for a great story!

YEAH! The Queen is back and better than ever! I am so sorry for not reviewing earlier...life and so forth...but that being said I have missed your onsies! I love the way you capture these two characters. My fav part would have to be:
"These elements of her character, taken on their own, were enough to drive a man to drink, but combined and woven into this certain woman were all he needed now to remind him that whenever life dealt him a crappy hand, he couldn’t really lose." Booth would absolutely think this and what a great way to characterize a great character like Brennan. I love that fact that she made a joke at the end...that was so cute.
I am so glad you are back...I too will be back to writing essays and all that crud, but hopefully I will have many more of your stories to get me through the year. Thank you so much for writing this. Cheers, :D

Nice story.
And I commiserate; I won't be able to watch Bones on Wednesday either. I figure I'll watch it online the next day... but still. Not the same.

I can sympathize with you having to miss the beginning of the premier - living on the other side of the world you get used to not being able to watch episodes 'live' & be extremely thankful for the internet & helpful friends. :-)
This was another great one-shot. It may not have been as fluffy as you had at first intended, but it did show us how Booth's feelings about Brennan had progressed since they first met - & there was no agnst...always a bonus in reading your fics. LOL.
He has recognized the changes in his feelings & that has opened the door to many possibilities...fluffy in itself. :-)
Loved the fact that it was Booth who was trying to rationalize his feelings for Brennan & when these changes had first started.
**By all accounts, her extreme rationality, her social awkwardness, her inability to learn how to differentiate between the right and wrong time for brutal honesty, should not be the eye in the midst of his stormy life, but they had certainly become just that. If nothing else was true, she was.
...when he had accepted that this is what & who Brennan was, then their partnership/relationship started to fall into place.
**His troubles eased when she was around. It was as simple as that and yet not simple at all. Again, not particularly rational, but there it was. Temperance Brennan, his squinty, annoying, frustrating partner was now the one thing that took away all irritation, annoyance, lifted his burdens and gave him a stability and security that he hadn’t felt in the longest time
..they do indeed tend to find comfort in each othert, in their familiarity. They were each others rock.
So many wonderfull insights & descriptions of how Brennan made him feel, that showed how they had grown together. I love reading from Booth's POV, & this one was no different. :-):-):-)

Sweet story. I really love Booth's POV. Loved the short conversation between them at the end.

Fantastic one shot. Brilliant word choice, very intelligently written. It didn't seem forced at all, I truly enjoyed it.

Aw, I liked the conversation at the end. That was cute. Nice story :)
About season 4, I keep waiting for Fox to make a "Just kidding! We're gonna air the Republican Convention instead. Bones will be on the 10th" announcement, but so far, so good! Ooh, I know how to make you feel better...the first four episodes (including the London ones) are gonna be on the season 3 DVD, so we only have to wait until November to own those episodes instead of this time next year!
Good to see a story from you again,
Stephanie

I like this just the way it is, no fluff needed. I think the part at the end, the humor, was a wonderful note to end it on rather than to try and squeeze some fluff in :) This in particular made me laugh:
**“Are we eating dinner tonight?”
She rolled her eyes at him.
“I know I plan on eating tonight and I see no reason why you shouldn’t,” she said with a straight face.
You've really managed to capture who Brennan is
**her extreme rationality, her social awkwardness, her inability to learn how to differentiate between the right and wrong time for brutal honesty.
I also like how you show how Booth has begun to understand Brennan **At one point this would have irked him to no end, but now it had a completely opposite effect. It was oddly…soothing.
I think you should be very pleased with this piece!

Hey Leah!
A lovely insight into Booth's mind, and the transition through his thoughts was brilliant! You did a great job :)
*supporting role, in the crazy, mixed up, and yet completely ordered and rational, life that she was leading with confidence and a fighting spirit.* I loved this bit :D
Ah poor you missing the first episode of Bones, I live in England so can't watch it either, I have to resort to the internet!
