I like these little glimpses of John's prior life. Sounds like something John would do. You are doing a great job fleshing out Dave. So does he handle Sheppard's money and trust funds while he is gone? Be interesting to see if Sheppard changed his will after Torren John was born. I hope you keep writing. Thanks for sharing.

First of all: Rodney's email address cracks me up. He would so have something like that.
Anyway! I really like how you tied this into your other fic, not in having it be a sequel or glorifying original character, but with character progression and development. That's something I love to see. Seeing a different perspective of the Last Man events is really interesting, and the glimpse into Sheppard's past fit both his character and the story situation so well.
