Why aren't you continuing this? It's great! Balanced, no "Naruto wakes up, kicks ANBU ass", and a serious take on Ninja! I can only remember two or three other stories where they emphasis that Ninja are Shadow Warriors, the immoral and wretched mercenaries who'll do anything to achieve their goal, not some sort of siege tank; that's what Samurai and Summons are for!
Oh, and please put in lots of Sealed goodies! It's so annoying that people ignore the power of seals. I mean, Ninja are the very definition of "stacking the deck", shouldn't the use of seals to create ad hoc traps, capture methods, one-shot WMDs, etc, be standard practice?

This seems like it will be very intresting, I'm really looking forword to see where you take this plotline. As for your concern about the training manuel plotline I don't really see any reason for people to complaine about it as long as you put your own style and ideas into it.
Also for whatever reason when I found out that Naruto would be using cards to help with his ninja ablities I couldn't help but think of him laughing at Kabuto at the exame for "Having so much pride in such a baisic jutus.' Then following that up by showing him just why HIS ninja cards trump Kabuto's own.
