Just In
for Drowning Pains

Well this was new, yet not unexpected. The 'What if's', and 'could have beens' are some of my favorites to read about. It's been awhile since I've seen 'Turn Left', as it wasn't one of my favorites despite have Rose Tyler in it. This scenario makes perfect sense seeing as it come directly after him saying goodbye to Rose in the parallel world. After the lose of Rose and without Donna telling him to stop, I can see him letting himself drown along with Racnoss.

Very sad! I am so glad Donna and Rose were able to stop this awful parallel world from happening.

Good one-shot, even if it kind of breaks my heart.

*SNIFF* Poor Doctor! With no Rose, and no Donna he's so depressed... :( Very good story by the way.

I agree with the others. I think this would have been a brilliant addition of the episode. However, the script does seem to contradict it. Of course, it is possible that UNIT simply assumed that "dying too quickly to regenerate" was the cause of death, and he secretly let it happen.
Either way, if it were my choice, I would have this be the reason. That way, Donna saved the Doctor, stopped him, in a way we never really thought of. She not only stopped him from over-slaughtering a species, but she saved him from grief. She did clearly help him get over Rose in The Runaway Bride, so it is very possible that, should she not have been there to support him, he would have continued on being/become suicidal, and let himself die. It is quite poetic.

Aw... that very nearly cried. I just saw Turn Left for the first time, and I've been considering writing something about this topic... although this is pretty much what I was thinking, so.. :) Anyways, very well done, I liked it a lot.

Hmm, very angsty. Happiness in death. Rose is with him, so death is welcome. It's very dark and thought-provoking. Good job! Made me think...

You've just made me want to burst out crying, and I love you for it! That was so sweet, I had to stop halfway through to go and get some tissues! It was brilliant!
