YAY! I love First Kiss stories, and this so completely fit the bill for what I would love to see. *sigh* I love the way you perfectly captured the quiet peace that exists between the two of them. I could see every single bit of this in my head... pitch perfect on the way he watches her, his heart in his eyes. This was really such a wonderful read!

Oh, this was wonderful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere you created with the fall leaves and sounds of nature.

Also, I don't think this was out of character at all. Especially Brennan's internal thoughts (heh "“There’s another one Bones,” he said from position a few paces ahead of her. Something that provided her with a view that was almost as enjoyable as the leaves that were gently falling around her. Not that she was actually looking." I can totally see her face as that thought circled).

Lovely shot. I can only hope once they get together (yes - note my use of the word "once", not "if") we actually get to see a scene like this - them just enjoying one another away from the stresses if the job - on the show.

Hey =)

I finally got my computer fixed (that was the reason i was gone), last time i reviewed i was at the library (those computers are beyond slow), which is why it took me so long to come back.

But anyway, this was a very lovely one-shot. IT really is too bad that we'll never get more than maybe 3 minutes of this relaxed feeling between them, because there's always gong to be work and human remains to keep the show running, hehe.

The kiss was very sweet, almost like they were testing each other, and Booth got to run his fingers through her hair at the end.

Oh, and to answer your question from way back (way, way back!)...no, we don't get any snow at all! Today it was even raining ashes because of the fires, and the sun's a bright pink, almost red, right now, and it's been a deep orange outside all day. The coldest it gets here is maybe in the high 50s(and even that is rare).

I love these little glimpses into their lives, thank you very much for writing!

I really like how you use the fall with all its beautiful colors to help create the wonderful atmosphere in this fic.

You capture them nicely from the start:

“I can see where I’m going,” she grumbled

[...]

“Which is why you ended up doing a face-plant in a pile of leaves half an hour ago?” he asked with a smirk that she couldn’t see, but knew was sure to be there if he turned around.

This seems plausible, I could imagine Booth coming up with a hike and I could hear him say:

“Just…sit down for a minute. Take a break, enjoy nature.”

Just as this line was so like Brennan:

"I wonder what they're doing back at the lab,"

Thank you for sharing this, a perfect resting place in a busy week!

Hey! My comp's being stupid and not leting me log in, so anyways... this was adorable! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. I couldn't find any errors as I read this:D Prob cuz i was so caught up in the story. Loved your descriptions (the leaves ARE gorgeous!) and you definitely created a relaxing atmosphere (took my mind off all my tests and assignments:D)

Oh, that was so romantic! The scenery was beautiful, and the accidental kiss and instant snuggling were just so sweet!

I also loved this line: "Truth be told, she was starting to forget that she didn't like his protective side and that it was her duty to remind him of that at least once every half hour." That's so Brennan, lol. Good job!

Wonderful chapter! The scene you described was absolutely beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I don't think that it's possible for DC to be anywhere near as beautiful as Ontario, but then, I live in Northwestern Ontario, and it's like a painting with all the fall colours! There's just no way a big city could hope to compete! The story was perfect!

** So I was home for Thanksgiving this weekend and was overwhelmed by all the fall colours.**

...being an Aussie myself - so we don't have Thanksgiving - I was really surprised that Canada not only celebrates Thanksgiving...but in October! Never knew that - see knowledge comes from reading fanfics...you learn something new everyday. LOL.

Loved all the descriptions...the vivid colours...the tranquility... the peacefulness, the contentment, that Brennan was feeling...easily conveyed through your words.

Both of them remained true to their character...would love to see something 'intimate' like this on the show.

Lucky for her Booth was plowing on ahead of her and was usually good enough to warn her when the fallen leaves attempted to hide the obstacles that lay waiting to trip them up. Something that provided her with a view that was almost as enjoyable as the leaves that were gently falling around her. Not that she was actually looking.

...M...Brennan was very lucky indeed, walking 'behind' Booth...but of course she wasn't looking...yeah right! :-)

Good to see Booth being able to lure Brennan away from the lab...to make time to stop & smell the roses...well smell the fresh arir at least. LOL.

**The connection she had with Booth was unlike anything she’d experienced before. Days like this reflected very well the nature of their relationship. A collection of moments taken out of their hectic cases just to sit at the diner or at her place enjoying a break from the mayhem and craziness that tended to characterize their everyday lives. It wasn't that the storm wasn't supremely rewarding, but it was the times of calm that allowed them to press on. They'd come a long way from a relationship defined by dead bodies and interrogations to...certainly more than 'coffee'.**

...I just had to copy the whole thing...perfectly said - & so true.

Loved the impulsive Brennan making the first move, even though it was only meant to be a kiss on the cheek - became more - Brennan didn't pull away from it.

A lovely sweet one-shot. :-):-):-)

So cute! Love Brennan and Booth watching the deer, Brennan thanking him with a hug, their lips colliding, and the snuggling under a tree. Nice job. :)

I've been having a shitty day and this simple but oh so precious one shot was just what I needed. Thanks for writing and don't stop! Happy Thanksgiving to you in Canada from me in Minnesota. Hope you're having a nice break.
