I read this whole story in one go! I just couldn't put it to the side with all its steamy goodness and tender words. My heart lurched into my throat in the last few chapters and I felt myself growing thinner inside, as I imagined Hermione would have done. I adimt (not out loud mind you ;) that I shed quite a few tears over the ending, especially when Draco was spewing forth his venom in the Great Hall - my heart twisted and broke repeatedly! I understand your choice to end it the way you did as I have ended a few of mine unfavorably as well. But you must write what is on your mind and thoughts, regardless of the pressure to make it something else which would ruin the story. I hope in the future, if you should decide to venture into Dramione again, that you at least give them 'one' happy ending. Tears are shed enough in the real world. ;)
The title of the story serves it well and I congratulate you on a great story. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Oh! And I forgot to mention in that first review for the last chapter: I loved the way you ended it. For instance, Hermione didn't suddenly forgive him and she even told him to not touch her at that one point. Not everything is fluffy and not everyone is blinded by "love," which I'm so glad you showed.
I'm seeing all of these other reviewers begging for sequels and "how could you end it like this?" and I can be that one reviewer that thinks you should keep it as it is. If I were in Hermione's position, as much as I loved the person, I don't think I would ever, EVER be able to fully trust them again and forgive them enough to be with them (happily ever after love and marriage) even with an explanation. You did it once for your image, who's to say you won't do it again, even if it IS two years later?
I suppose this is a story people can relate to and could easily put themselves into this situation: give them another chance, he won't blow it again! But it's a fanfiction - the ending can be happy if you make it that way. In life, people usually turn out to be bad, and giving the benefit of the doubt seems to backfire most of the time.
Maybe I'm being too cynical? I don't know. That's just my opinion and I reinstate: don't make a sequel! Unless you want to put Hermione with an OC and living happily ever after with someone who isn't Draco and didn't blow his first chance ;).

Aw, that was a sad ending. I really enjoyed the story though, even with the ending. Not enough stories end in sadness so I'm glad I found a good one that did.
At first, I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about reading this. Usually I look for something with reasoning and a plot behind it. Draco's reason for choosing her, "I don't know." didn't really fall into my category of a legit reason. Still, it evolved into something I liked.
I'm surprised by the lack of reviews/hits of your story. It was (one of the few on the damn site) well-written fics. Great job :).
Oh, and I loved and hated the scene Draco made in the Great Hall. Ron, Harry, and Ginny all sticking by her was a fantastic way to go about that. So many stories have Hermione-abandoned-by-friends cliche and you worked around it very well. But, really, I was basically jaw-drop surprised at that part, lol. I knew there was a reason behind it ;).
Again, great job, and although I didn't keep up with the story while it was being posted, thanks for completing it quickly! No one likes waiting ages ;).
