So Hermiones a murderer? Great twist, I wouldn't expect that from her. Even so, 2 death eaters down. Lol.
All in all you've produced some great imagery throughout this story Zoe. Its been rather strange to follow Hermiones POV, and to look at Harry from the outside. I think you need some more character development on some of the new additions such as Tom and Zoey ... we don't know a whole lot about them, just give a little more background, and distinguishing demeanours.
Write more chapters!

Hmm I'm going to guess that Charlie read the letter. Again, great piece, I liked the addition of the 'Diligo nuntius charm' - did you invent that?
My only gripe is that you don't seem to give Hermione enough credit, she may not be as good a fighter as Harry but she comes close, Ok so you excused that by saying she was out of practice but she still should have more knowledge. In the books she normally recites what she's read in books whenever shes trying to figure something out, it just doesn't seem like you've touched on that.

I like Zoey, original name *rolls eyes* Good addition though.
But at the end when she says 'people say I'm a younger version of you' ? ... it just sounds cheesy, no-one would mention that lol :P

but surely since someone other than hermione read the letter from snape (althought they didnt know its from snape I think) surely then know about the charm thats being used to hide the contents of the letter then they can contoract them and read it anyway and who was it that came in to hermione's bedroom while she was aleep and read that letter? was it harry? was it remus lupin or was it Charlie? since he thinks she is cheating on him although he doenst know who with which means snape didnt sign his name if it really was Charlie that read the letter!
