This was wonderful. Brennan is always so focused on other people and she hardly ever notices that not everything bad in their lives is her fault. She's very much like Booth in that manner, as you equated. This showed perfectly how her awkwardness could make her feel inadequate in a social situation where she has no practice.
Plus, comforting!Booth was wonderful. :)

yay for happy endings and hells yes to choclately goodness being the all powerful thing to worship on our depressing days. :) hehe
You American's are so lucky with your Ben and Jerry's. lol
again, love this fic. :)
and nicely done for some sad time writing. You did really well. And I'm so glad you ended on a happy note. :)
The Angela/Brennan stuff in this story reminds me of me and my best friend, so it was a little warming to read that. and The Booth/Brennan parts...so cute.
Man I wish the writers would take some ideas from fanfic. lol

This is a great story. I felt when watching the seasons that we should have had a scene like the start of this story - where Brennan goes to Angela to help her deal with the break up. We never had the moment and I miss Bren / Ang friends moments these days. So I loved the start of the story immediately. But then poor Dr B and her self doubt - you wrote it beautifully and very in character. And her visit to Booth was also very in character for both.
I love the end - that Bren realises the events with Booth will cheer Ang up...very nice!
Excellent story. :D

Aw, I love this. I think we all wish we had a strong, handsome, loyal, funny, fierce, loving guy to comfort us when we're sad. (Okay, maybe we just really want David when we're sad - who am I kidding?) Very good job - love their closeness in this story.

I loved it! So cute! Dang it, I wish Hodgins and Angela would get back together already! And, of course, that Booth and Brennan would GET together already!

I have three major things to say.
1. This was an absolutely amazing story. I don't know how you did it, but somehow I was moved beyond belief. You may say you don't write much angst, but this was crazy. And for the heads up - had you left this a depressing fic? Life would not be free flying, and I would pester you into writing another chapter so much you would wish you had never heard of CompetiveSwimmaChick. So for the sake of your mental well being and for my physical well being (of not being shoved in jail after restraining orders) it is good you ended it how did. And I know you are an amazing author, but I could not have imagined it ending any better. Somehow, I wanted to burst out in tears in major depression, and at the same time let a humongous smile fill my face and brighten my day. I know I have said this like 50 times already, but I'll say it once more... I have no clue how you do it, but I was completely enthralled throughout. And the storyline! I haven't even touched that yet! I have never read something like that before. The whole Angela-Brennan thing was superb! OMG! Best line "my life wouldn't be complete without you in it anymore". And of course, BB were more than ever performing to form. Most definate into faves.
2. It's sad how I am only starting point 2 now. But moving on... sorry about not reviewing this sooner. You can go ahead and through your rotten cabbage at me now. And now you can stop. I don't really have a good excuse, but we shall quickly gloss over this imperfection and move onto point three.
3. THE REVIEW BOX IS NOW GREEN! No, that was not actually a major point I was planning on making. However, I did not know where else to shove it, so I stuck it here. What the point really was that... OMG THAT LAST BONES WAS SO GOOD! With Jarred and everything? Wow. Not like much drama happened... but it was one of those episodes that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And my favourite intern was back. Hopefully to stay until Zach reappears (I have faith!). But yah... season four sure looks like it is shaping up for some more great episodes, and I cannot wait until Wednesday for the new one to air! Yoopee! Oh yeah!
More than enough from me. Even though- according to the character counter, I have more than 1691 and counting characters left. But I shall finally shut my trap and leave you in peace. More stories to come, I hope.
CSC, peacing out.
PEACE!

I liked this a lot! I liked that you didn't have Bones break down and freak out, that even though she was sad, and she felt safe, she still was herself... and she's not one to break down easy.
Good work!

I thought that this was a great little story. Booth is so right: Brennan has a huge heart, even if she doesn't admit how she feels.
Nicely done. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Good for you writing outside your comfort zone!
**Suddenly it all made sense to him. Zach, Angela, Hodgins; her family was disintegrating before her eyes and she felt powerless to prevent it.
You hit the nail on the head with that observation! How elegantly you summarize the mess of season finale and the imbalance of the team at the end of the third season and the beginning of the fourth in only two sentences.
And you have Booth make a similarly clever and very valid observation:
**it isn't your job to carry Angela's burdens….or Zach's."
The fact that Brennan didn't make Angela magically feel better after she'd been to see her makes it realistic:
**while she had talked to Angela well into the night about what had happened and where things had gone so horribly wrong, she had an awful feeling that their talk had left Angela in a worse state than Brennan had found her a few hours ago.
There are no quick fixes and it's not always possible to make everything right as in putting it back together they way it was, sometimes life just have to be "endured." You do a really good job illustrating this with Booth's and Brennan's conversation.
Looking forward to your next piece, fluff or angst, oneshot or multichapter :)
