For some reason I thought that Derek would kiss Casey just to get the taste of his chocolate bar back but I still LOVE how you had it happen.

That was *adorable*! And not in that way where the author makes Derek totally sweet (pun not intended:) as a plot ploy. This was so in-character and all kinds of wonderful really. (I was kinda wishing I was Casey at that moment. It's sweet, but tangy (kinda like lemonade, or dark chocolate!) And I LOVE how Derek *keeps* thinking about Casey and how everything relates to her. And "high maintainance little girls" had me laughing the whole time!

This was great. I loved the whole thing! Especially the ending.

Fewer calories, but just as sweet as the real thing! Sweet is a good word for it - but it's not generically sweet...I think it's like the really *good* chocolate - exactly sweet enough. Derek waiting around with his 'boring-unless-it-bugs-Casey' skating magazine, Marti's Imaginaries' party (and I like the very realistic touch of having Derek bribe Edwin into Marti's party preparation), Lizzie picking up on Casey's mood (it's such a small thing, but I really like that). And wow - I love how you described the compelling *weirdness* of standing so close to someone else (the single eye), and the closing line was just sigh-worthy. :)

Wonderfully written. There was a nice lyrical flow to the fic. I didn't notice who wrote this until after I read it, I should have realized by the quality of the writing that it was one of my faves. Great job.

Wow! This is, like, the only LWD/Dasey fanfic I've ever finished reading-the rest are so awful. But your imagery is amazing, your verbs excellent, and I love how Derek keeps alluding to Casey, how you've shown how obsessed with her he is. Usually I can't get over the squick factor of their relationship, but great writing like yours totally makes me forget how weird I find this pairing. Kudos!
