I like Aether and you have made her strong and interesting. This is enjoyable stuff.(I did find it a little confusing in this chapter because Legolas did not know what orcs were, and he did not know about Gollum, and that threw me, so I assume your Legolas is very young and rather protected, which is unusual if he is a skilled warrior in Mirkwood.) It will be interesting to see where you go with this. The descriptions are atmospheric and I got quite caught up in this.
