Wow, it's been such a very long time! I actually started re-watching a couple of episodes of LWD because what with graduating from college and going in for postrad and everything, I was feeling nostalgic for my school!years show, and I thought that I couldn't possibly find it as good as I used to in a rewatch. I WAS WRONG. Casey and Derek and absolutely delightful still, and my one great sorrow is that I don't have all the episodes (or even a quarter of them) and can barely feed my growing re-obsession. So- fic!
Oh, this is absolutely lovely! I wanted an early-interaction fic and I think this is just fitting. Derek's panic, because he KNOWS he's in too deep, but of COURSE he'd come back, because that's what he does, he always comes back for her. And I love his usual 'be a dick' and 'reversal' when he sees the effect his rejection/pranks have on her. It's a running theme from 'The Fall' onwards. Just GUH 3

Aw - I'm smiling. And I think that's such a great word in your summary, really applies to all your fics - 'affectionate'. You can always see the warmth shining through in your stuff :)

It amazes me that a story can be so powerful with so few words - great job! You said a lot with a little, which is definitely hard to do!

It's a mark of how excellent a writer you are that you can turn 100 words (yes, I counted) into such a powerful piece as this. You never cease to amaze me!

Just browsing idly and came upon this. So warm and charming. You tell the story effortlessly with such few words. as you asked us to count, i note you have actually used the exact 100 for a perfect drabble! Do some more drabbles, please. How about a chrismassy one?
