So even as Seto puts his soul together, he still isn't getting it. . .The scene where Mahaad and the other student walk off as friends and leave Set behind, is probably the story of his life, past and present.
And I'm not saying the two boys were right either. They deliberately cut Set out, so his read of them is probably the right one as well. It's not always easy to be the clever one, the strong one, or the one who has to prove himself time and time again.
Of course the young Atem is a brat perhaps one with a conscience but a brat just the same and probably should be put in his place. Perhaps its when they get older, that they will see they have much to offer each other, as do the modern day incarnates.
Perhaps as we see the soul being built we will see more of the person he hides rather than the one we see.
As to your riddle. .. my guess is the purple box...but then again I'm horrible at those sorts of riddles.. .:)

I'm pretty smart, but not as smart as Seto... ^^;
So two are false and one is true... I want to say it's the yellow box, but then I think of the purple box, and how it seems so suspicious... Hahaha... I overanalyze everything... XD
I am loving this story. It's so deep and I love the Egyptology. :D Ahh, I can't wait for the next chapter! :D

Eigentlich wollte ich ja auf Mexx reviewen, aber da dort kein Update kommt, mache ich es halt hier ^^
Nur für Englisch bin ich gerade zu faul, also bleibe ich mal bei Deutsch.
Also, das Kapitel fand ich richtig gut, vor allem finde ich es beeindruckend, wie viel du recherchiert hast. Das lässt die Geschichte gleich ungemein authentischer erscheinen.
Was ich besonders interessant finde, ist, dass Kaiba zuerst seine Erinnerungen seiner ägyptischen Vergangenheit wieder bekommt und nicht seine neuzeitlichen. Da frage ich mich doch, wie viel er davon noch weiß, wenn er sein Herz wieder zusammengesetzt hat.
Außerdem bin ich über alle Maßen gespannt, wann und wie Kaiba und Yami aufeinandertreffen, vor allem, wie sie sich gegenüber dem anderen verhalten werden. Aber das scheint noch ein Weilchen zu dauern ^^°
Davon abgesehen, muss ich ernsthaft sagen, dass diese Story viel mehr Kommentare verdient hat, aber dafür ist sie wohl leider nicht massentauglich genug. Sehr schade, denn sie gehört mit zu dem Besten, was ich in letzter Zeit gelesen habe, nicht nur zu dem Pairing, sondern zu YGO allgemein.
So, zuguterletzt bleibt mir nur noch zu hoffen, dass das nächste Update nicht ewig auf sich warten lassen wird XD

A chapter well worth waiting for. . . I like the way all the facts you have included move the story along and give clues to where the story is heading.
It is also interesting to watch "Seto" grow into himself as memories start to return. . . I'll be interested to see how far you are going to take it. So far the story is set pretty much in Egypt, so will this turn out to be the story of High Priest Seto and the Pharaoh, or will it turn suddenly to modern times and we'll be faced with Seto Kiaba &Yami, or will it encompass the entire drama.
Either way, I'm enjoying this. . . as to the end riddle. . .my bet is a reference to the Nile. . A river mouth, different river outlets make up the arms, a river bed, which never sleeps, always on the move, and of course a river doesn't have legs.

Hm, I want to answer the riddle. I'm probably wrong, but i think the answer is... river. A river has a mouth, a bed and it stretches far and wide and travels day and night without any legs. So I'm going to say river, more specifically the nile.

This was an amazing beginning which really hooked me into the story and makes me eager to see what happens next.
I like the arrogance of Seto Kaiba even when faced with no knowledge of who he is. . as to the 'mystery voice' there are so many possibilties of who 'she' is I'm not even going to try and guess.
Hope you continue with this soon.
