There's a conciseness of language here that is almost poetic in its own right.
I find myself very able to imagine exactly how much they mean to each other. You definitely benefit from it being from fanfiction, if this was a stand-alone work I wouldn't have a very clear mental image of Harry compared to what you do with Edward here. But I can't blame you sister, I think you chose the right perspective.
I will just say that I think you brought in the imagined immortal perspective well from Harry here with 'never gonna say goodbye'.
I don't know if you've ever seen that HP photo that once suggested perhaps with Harry defeating Voldemort he'd become truly immortal separated from his loved ones in the mirror. You really get the sense of him adapting to timelessnessless in this piece.
In my reviews I always try to comment on the opening line. One of the most important parts of any story. Here, you excel, and although this isn't the sort of thing I'd usually read, it's this line that works to draw you in. I think it's fantastically effective and it's almost like I've heard it before in some forgotten context. Fantastically potent. Fantastically evocative. Yeah, just 5/5 all round. I had cracked one out before I was even half way through, which in my old age is a real challenge. Bravo.

I should know better than clicking on a link in the HoS. Right before I go to bed, too. Damn it. Now I'm going to nightmares.

The emotions expressed in this story completely blew me away. 5 stars the best slash ever.

The best part of all this? The fact that half the idiot reviewers seem to not realize they've been rickrolled.

Can't believe I got rickrolled by Oz almost 4 years after this was published...

Pure genious.
A fic that encapsulates all the potential and brilliance of Twilight, indeed.
