I would have an easier time sympathizing with Bella hurt if she didn't nearly get intimate with Jake. Granted she didn't get as far, but that's only because Bree wasn't there and her power wore off. Obviously that wasn't the case with Edward.
To be blunt Edward was a victim of rape. And I never like seeing the victims shamed for their actions under those circumstances.

Its funny how nicer Jacob becomes when he imprints. He's almost a completely different person from Eclipse.
Though in all fairness even prior to imprinting I think the Jacob in this story is nicer than the one we got in Eclipse. That guy was a piece of work.
