I stumbled upon this story by chance while searching the word ronin in hopes of finding an AU story of Naruto and Sasuke as wandering ronin. Although this is nothing like that premise, I decided to give it a try for curiosity's sake and man, this is fantastically well written. I'm honestly shocked it doesn't have 5 or 10 thousand favorites instead of less than a thousand. I guess it just goes to show that sorting by most favorited stories doesn't always, or even often, get you the best stories there are.
I saw a different review about this story being taken down and so I read the AN on the final chapter. Really sad to hear this will eventually be taken down. It's such a good story. I'm really enjoying your take on Naruto being darker, more jaded and callous, hateful even. It's really interesting, and Sakura's apprehensiveness around him feels natural. It makes sense. The writing and characterization are both superb. Please consider leaving it up. Regardless, thank you for writing and sharing it, and congratulations on finishing it after 12 years.

Hi! I just wanted to say I adore this fic and while it's ultimately your decision whether or not you take it down, I desperately hope you won't. I started this fix back in 2009 when I was 13 (yeah I know, a little young to be reading fanfic) and it's been so nostalgic to find it and reread it at 25 and remember just what it was like to read it originally. It made me remember what it was like to be involved in such a talented Fandom and to have so much excitement every time I saw a new chapter or a new fic (especially before my love for the series was lost a little both as I grew older and due to a kind of unsatisfying ending). It made me remember bonding with my friends and my sister over the series and acting unapologetically cringy because we just loved the series and the fanworks involved.
Seeing this fic was completed made me so happy and not only helped me relive some of that childhood nostalgia but also get through 2 weeks of mind numbing pain and boredom with covid. I genuinely wish the manga had ended more like this fic and I thank you so much for finishing the fic after all these years.

This is one of the most interesting and unique stories/fics I've read. Yes, not just in the Naruto section, but in all fanfiction. I had a difficult time putting my phone down and just binge read the whole thing. The ending did feel a bit rushed. And there are some parts that didn't sit quite well, like how Kaori shifted from calling Sakura and Naruto her parents to just saying their names. But overall, I'm glad to have found this and to know you came back to finish this. Kudos to you! Real respect for striving to complete it. I hope to read more of your work

After 30 chapter of teasing, finally we got the lemon on the final chapter. Now after re reading the whole story, i didn't really expect to have it and didn't really mind if we never gotten it. But i guess it is a perfect ending. You even made it not cringy and almost sweet so it was enjoyable. Idk i feel like, yeah, a perfect ending. There's no other way to explained it. With the small tidbit of closure from sakura sprinkled in it. It was perfect. I dont really feel like it was rushed but that may be because i read the whole thing again. All in all, thank you for writing this story and ultimately finishing it. It doesn't matter that it took years, i truly appreciate and are grateful for it. A little sad that it won't be here forever. But i do hope you reconsider on deleting it. At least someone in the future can appreciate this amazing story as well. Thank you again, take care of yourself and stay safe! And don't stop writing!

The moment i got the notification, i was so excited! I couldn't believe it was updated. But as i read this chapter i couldn't really connect anything. Like i had a vague picture of the story but nothing was sticking. So i re read it all. And really wasn't at all sad about. I forgot how good this story was. And i immensely enjoy going back. I remember the first time i found this and everything that happened as i read this. It is truly amazing!
