I see that I was the last person to leave reviews on this fic, and that’s sad to me because these were AMAZING! I am absolutely in love with these little windows into moments we never saw on screen, and will probably reread them every year! And, as a Lit lover, obviously I’m SO on board with the reintroduction of Jess and Rory as “friends” in the 7th season. I just wish there were more of these!

Oh no, it didn't wrap up! Sadness. But at least Jess and Rory are still happy friends for the moment and I can imagine them having a moment when Rory inevitably stops in Philly on the campaign trail. And they live happily ever after. I would love for you to finish this, though!

I love Jess's response to Rory about the job, and I like how you made Chris's friend be someone that worked at that paper too. That was a good touch. And I can feel the buildup to something potentially great from those texts about the proposal! I love that Jess immediately knew that a big, public proposal would be awful for Rory. I know Logan was all about big gestures, but by the time he proposed, did he really not want to cater to *Rory*, not his own desires? Ugh. Propose in the way *she* would love, give her a ring *she* would actually love, not one she "should" love because it's expensive. *eye roll* anyway, with just one chapter left, my fingers are crossed that there's some kind of real hope for Rory and Jess!

I'm on team "Logan was a jerk" for running off to Vegas instead going to Stars Hollow with Rory like they placed. Had he even been there yet at this point? I can't remember. But I did love the mother/daughter bonding time.

Oh my gosh, Jess floundering when Rory asked about his non-existent girlfriend was so good. I could just imagine it. And I love the ending of this chapter how these two boys went completely out of their way to make sure she was okay- but only one is her boyfriend. And the fact that he's always remembers the little details about things and people Rory tells him. So good.

Oh, I love this! So many parallels between their relationships and Luke and Lorelai... I especially like the realization from Jess why Luke was so annoyed with him as a teen screwing up with Rory because he now feels the same about Luke with Lorelai. Beautiful.

I liked how you did the "we are friends"/"we aren't friends" back and forth. I agree with the final assessment that they aren't friends right now. And everything she brought up for points of why they "are" friends were things Jess did/said. I like that you're deviating from canon again at the end here! Here's hoping for a happier ending for them *fingers crossed*

Oh my word. I never realized how absolutely un-Rory it was for her to have not read Jess's book yet! Honestly, old Rory would have stayed up all night reading! Or at least found time the next day to read it so she could discuss it with Jess at dinner! Ugh, Rory!
