Nice story, I really enjoyed it! _

I did notice one thing though - the "parrot".
Cockatoo's - those that are actually called cockatoo's, don't have pinkish feathers - they are either white with a yellow crest, or black with red.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was the bird you were referring to a galah? (It is part of the 'Cockatoo' family, but is not generally called a cockatoo. It is a grey and pink bird with a white crest, and is about half the size of the normal cockatoo. Is this the bird you were referring too?)
I don't mean to criticize or offend you, I just want to know what bird I should be picturing when I read this?

Again, great story! -

Hey, just reading your stories again. I love them all, you're an excellent author.
I read this part
"You're forgetting about a certain fifteen-year-old who managed to knock himself out at four o'clock in the morning," he countered. "Now that was quite an achievement."
And I thought, that would be a good story, wouldn't it be nice if she could write a short story about that. But I know you are really busy. So I thought if you were board and wanted something to write lol this might be a good idea for a story.
Well, anyway,I hope you are having fun studying. Well, as much fun as a university student can anyway :)

BRILLIANT!

This was good fun, and well written. I loved the battle of wills between Virgil and the persistent parrot, and I liked the way you wrote an exhausted and sleepy Virgil as well - particularly when his family started to worry about him.

I do have to feel a little sorry for Gordon - it must be a pain in the neck having a doctor in the family fretting over every little bump. I'm sure Gordon would much rather just have picked himself up, gone to bed and slept off the headache. For his sake, the parrot's intervention was certainly a good thing.

Thanks for sharing this amusing Tracy anecdote :-)

Hey! See... I'm still alive and kicking as you can see... and writting too, but I want to make a good fan fic it's gonna take me some time... be patient please

I love the fic! Really cool idea, that cookatoo (?) rocks...

Poor Gordy although at least it wasn't too serious.

wow that was really good and not odd at all. I know many people who have had strange occurances like that.

Poor Virge not being able to sleep. I can totally relate but it usually takes me longer to reach his point of exhustion. Poor Gordy as well being hurt like that but at least Virge was able to help.

I loved this you should definitely keep up the little one shots they are brill. Love ya.

LOL - Sort of The Tracys meet Lassie (the parrot) meet Pirates meet Poe's "The Raven"?

*snort*

Quirky, funny, but still just a touch of miracle that made it sweet and brotherly as well.

All in all - very well done!

I enjoyed this very much.

Thanks for writing!

I loved it! Hey, I'm one of those people who believes in miracles and signs and premonitions so this was right up my alley! Though I do have to admit that at first I thought it was Gordon playing a prank on Virgil, especially the little throw away line about Gordon's bedroom being right next door.

Great story! :-)

that was awesome.

Temporary insanity? Nah, there's no such thing, Bump, especially when it comes to your writing.

An amazingly written piece that made me smile.

It kinda scared me, in all truth, coz I was reading this in the garden, ans as I was reading the cockatoo sound effects,A cockatoo landed right next to me and began squawking. It certainly made some realistic sound efects to go with the story, though.

I absolutely loved Virgil's deadpanned tone during the debrief, and at the end.

Is the truly bizarre one next? Is it? Please say it is; it already has me intrigued.

Until next time

Kat :)

haha. i know what you mean, that was farely random, but i loved it none the less. and its not 'insanity' its a state of very free and original creative expretion. if it was insanity i'd have been locked up years ago. lol

can't wait for the next one, see ya

Haha! Yes, yet another wonderous one-shot from LMB! Loved it, even though it was truly bizzare... but only you can make me feel an emotional connection with a parrot. Cockatoo! It was a cockatoo! See, I was paying attention. Nice one-liners, engaging story. Excellent work. x
