I liked how Raphael finds out he is human again and how Amy comes to him.
The dialogue between Raphael and Siegfried is very interesting.
I like how Raphael answers Siegfried’s question about the righteousness of his act. And I like Amy's statement, she understood Siegfried.
Siegfried’s end is sad but in a way it is fitting. He finds peace by rejoining his father.
A very good story very well composed! I did enjoy your story! Very much! One of the best here! I’m glad you made many chapters!

I like how Raphael refused to use Soul Edge and that Soul Edge tried to destroy him for his betrayal.
And you still explain so much in so few words, we can imagine the fight between Raphael and Nightmare even if Raphael only mentionned it.
Raphael’s offer was really interesting too.
And you greatly showed his obsession for Soul Calibur!

When Raphael says; You think I came here because of you? ...you are a secondary thought, at best...Was it some kind of revenge for Siegfried not remembering him?
Indeed failure seems to be very frightful for Raphael, he seems to expect a lot from himself and put a lot on his shoulders.
And I like the way he behaves toward Siegfried... What his pride forbid him to do.
And I like how Siegfried behave toward him too.
I like the fact he felt homesick and that the cathedral answered to it.

I love how Raphael gets angry at Siegfried for not remembering him and lose his mind completely totally becoming a beast!
When he sees his wild reflection in Siegfried’s blade, it’s great! Intense! This moment is so realistically described!
I like how it ends…
I think Siegfried may not remember Raphael in the game maybe because he was crazy and possessed at the time so it may be that Inferno would remember Raphael but not Siegfried... or he was confused from this disturbing period so it took him some times to remember, maybe even pushing aside those memories himself... he did that for his father's murder...

Nice description of the fight! I like the mocking bow, it shows Raphael’s personality very well…
Indeed to fight someone in armor must be very hard, trying to find a weak spot and an opening… and this thing about not feeling the pain at first… It’s realistic.
I like Raphael’s thoughts wondering if someone will find him there if he dies and about the fact he protected Amy from the monsters of the night.

This was delicious writing :D I loved the characterization and the conversations between Raphael and Siegfried. I felt sorry for Sieg at the end though but I still loved every moment of this.

It might be just me, but the "child" in the title you left pretty ambiguous, and I think that Siegfried is in a way, the "child". (Not just Amy) Correct me if I'm wrong.
Completing this in 2 months isn't easy to do! But you've both completed an extraordinary piece of work in that short time, and it's clear that the story has a great sense of flow, and the characters transition very well too. The expressions of the characters are done perfectly (enough said!) and it just made them come to life ^_^
I'm glad that to see different types of fanfiction for Soulcalibur, other than the pairing or comedic fics. Not that they're not good, but seeing how I think that a (fighting) game that actually drew parallels from mythology, should still have stories that draw on the humanity of the characters. SOulcalibur's story is relatively incomplete compared to other works of fiction, so there's plenty to draw on.
Since I'm rambling now, good luck with your writing and I hope to see more Soulcalibur fics from you!

I really enjoy just how Raphael manages to reisist Soul Edge on here, throwing it away and destroying the blade out of mere contrariness. That honestly seems like something Raphael would do out of spite, were he to be pissed at someone.
Your characterization in general has been great throughout this chapter, actually, which is something that I enjoy to the fullest. I liked Raph's li'l bit of grim sarcasm at the end, and how you always have Siegfried always be at least slightly naive.

Another great chapter. It seems that in this case, Raphael has managed to see something about Siegfried that he must find somewhat attractive or something- for a second, it seems that there's at least a few things that the German's got that actually has a chance to strike a friendship right then and there.
But, it doesn't come. Oh well, I can always wait for another chapter or two.
