It makes sense that they would clash a little. I think it's not worse because they did meet first all those years ago. Otherwise, it could have been disastrous introducing him to the family instantaneously.

Ah, these insufferable Carpathian males with their 'rules'. 'She fights vampires? What?!' LOL! Love it, haha.
Her forgiveness of Alphonse was humbling and made me cry. I guess after over a century and getting the full story you could actually truly forgive that.
And these Morrison people? Cannot stand them!

This story is AWESOME. I like this twist on the typical Carpathian tale, that of two women helping one another to survive and piece clues together as to what was happening around them. Excellent! :-)

I am so horrified for this poor woman! She's been through so much and now she's about to go through the ultimate horror, I fear. This poor poor woman!

Deborah is a woman with nerves of steel she probably never knew she had until this crisis arose. Truly admire her heroic conquering of her fear in order to focus on destroying her tormenter. What a wonderful time to meet a new friend. Often this happens in the real world God will bring someone or something wonderful into our life just when we need it!
Looks like Deborah's newfound friend is as strong as she is. She stays by her side and tends to her during her illness of transformation. Things are still pretty bad but there is definite hope that they will get better.
What a great way to end this chapter with a good nights rest for both these girls.

Alphose is one nasty vampire. Trouble is he thinks he is being kind and affectionate. The only way these evil creatures can show "affection" is by brutually raping the woman they choose to be with. Sort of a reverse life-mate situation.
Excellant portrayal of this woman's desperate situation. Made me cold reading about the basement she was in. But you show her true strength of character as she overcomes her own fear and misery and develops a plan.

He must actually think that he can love and care for her and tries to be tender by brushing her tears from her cheek. But his bloodlust all too soon takes over and he acts in his typical predatory manner.
This chapter begins in a very exciting manner and ends with you excited to know what will happen next.

Just found this story & I sat here & read the whole thing in 1 sitting! You did an awesome job writing it, keeping true to the Carpathians whom I just love reading about! Can't wait to read your other stories but they have to wait as my behind is numb from sitting, lol. So glad the story had a happy ending!
