Once again, nice chapter! I like how Nancy and Bess figured out if Steven was a lefty. And everything you write is so logical. like the fact that he carries a sharpie to mark his ball. It seems like you know a lot about golf. Can't wait for an update!

“The Pink Panther?” Bess laughed, hearing her friend’s ringtone.
“Oh, shush,” Nancy rolled her eyes. “That’s only Joe’s ringtone.”
“I get it,” Bess said, laughing. “Joe being a detective and everything.”
“Yeah,” Nancy said.
“What is Frank’s, Endless Love?”
That entire scene was just too perfect for words. Great job!

Sweet, an early update! Haha, I love Joe's ringtone! Although like Bess I have to wonder what Frank's is...
Anyway, Joe's worried, I wonder what kind of problem we've got here. Warning number two? At least he's not, say, frantic- things can't be that bad... yet. Pretty sloppy of the criminal to leave an appointment card at the scene of the crime- it seems like there should be around those patient confidentiality laws when it would lead them straight to the criminal! Bess's flirting with Steven was great, she's got a talent haha.
Anyway, you already know how much I'm enjoying this. Can't wait for more!

Nice chapter! I liked the conversation between Nancy and Frank.
Normally I don't like stories with both Frank and Ned (I like both pairings and hate it when one of them is portrayed horribly) but your story only mentions him and it doesn't bother me. And honestly, if you've ever read the Files series, then you would almost say that Ned was justified in cheating on her. Not like that would make it ok, but I think it's more understandable. Anyway, can't wait for more!

I like how Frank and Nancy commisserated over their break ups. That is so sad( not). Can't stand Callie or Ned, both jerks. Okay, so I'm a Frank and Nancy so sue me.

“Right on flipping cue,” HAD ME LAUGHING SO HARD. I can just imagine his expression as Joe walks up. Of course they got interrupted!
You know, I've been worrying that Nancy and Frank would be rebounding, but I think they've known each other too long and been attracted to each other too long for that to be true.
I'm so proud of myself for understand the golf terms. My papa has taught me well.

I was pretty surprised at how candid he and Nancy were with each other, it's kind of refreshing after the way they danced around the issue of their relationship in all the old SMs. And I loved Frank's "Right on flipping cue."- I was thinking the same thing lol.
