Personally I'd like to bash Kanaan's head in with a meat grinder for being so stupid. Even if she had given birth, that wouldn't make Hakkai love her any less. She didn't have to kill herself and thrust more pain on him. And the last line you wrote:"if Kanaan would have turned out anything like her." That really made me think. There's a good chance Kanaan WOULD have ended up like Gojyo's mother, or close to it, espically if she pushed Hakkai away but didn't kill herself. Either way, for something so short it was very good. Congrats.

I'm with Gojyo on this one. I don't like Kanaan for what she did to Hakkai either. When I first watched Hakkai's background story on Saiyuki I cried bad.
It will really be interesting to see how you play this one out. Will Goyjo reveal his feelings on Kanaan to Hakkai?
