I'm at a block too, with my story, "The Messenger, Heir of the Corvusons." I can't decide what her magical inheritance should be, I mean I've thought of some things but none of them seem right. Perhaps a trait like Harry's parseltongue?
Since she's supposed to be a direct pureblood descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw I'd thought of intensified intelligence, but then she wouldn't be Hermione anymore. Her eyes are out too because they're just a plain brown color.
Increased learning capacity? An inheritance of specific knowledge? A secret library at the top of Ravenclaw Tower?
Crap, by talking to you I've had a breakthrough. Maybe you should try conveying what you want to happen to someone else, and by doing so talk yourself through it like I've done just now.

I really like this fic! :) I look forward to seeing how you write the changing family dynamics between Harry and Edgar.

Brilliant Story. I like the thought processes and the amount of effort and detail that you have put into it. The different approach that you have placed with Harry and his life is well devised. He seems far older than he should be and that is a really good trait for him.
Ginny's death...bit of a shock but it is something that i have always wondered about.
This new Sirius Black adaption - different points of view...great idea.
In short. This is probably one of the best damn stories that i have ever read on this site.
Keep writing. Keep developing and i hope to see more soon.

"...I understand you did what you had to during a period of war.”
Is Harry really a slytherin?Sound like a self scarifying Gryfindor to me, you know, too canon, far too accepting. He only gave Dumbledore a perfect excuse to feel less guilty of using him as a weapon or a martyr later on.
I hope he realised there's a large difference between what Dumbledore and he did.
Harry took the pain to his own person to save his brother and ensure his brother's happiness whereas Dumbledore made a bad decision in scarifying two innocent children, knowing full well that he sentenced them to unhappy childhood, there's no such thing as sacrifice and pain on his part. He didn't exactly have to loose anything, unlike Harry. So really it's not the same.
no self respecting Slytherin would take this lying low.

AWESOME!
Loved it how Harry is now finding his own, and starting to prepare, was Runes also included with those books Cedric sent over?
Why was Cedric studdying Divion, was he only doing it as a drop out easy course, or might he actualy believe in the subject?
Have any other courses court Harrys eye? Are there Subjects you are going to create that were not mentioned in JK's books, like courses designed for a growing political position, customs, Finance and whats is expected of Purbloods?
If those things are taught by the family then how is Harry and or Eddy meant to cope and deal with the Potter esstate when they come into Inheritance?
And has Harry asked f any magical knowledge off of Sirius, now that Harry is taking the preparation and learning more magic for the enevitable, will he ask for any advice from Sirius? Arn't there more distructive spells than bombardia or reducto, isn't there more veriety?

Great section there, and looks like the two of them are getting along at some points, but with Harry leaning more towards taking care of his younger brother, even if he doesn't want it at times huh? Looking forward to the third year, what all will happen when Edgar finds out, and likely at the worst possible time, and if this is going to cause a bad rift between the two brothers, one that may not be easily repaired.

Cool story but I'm curious as to why Harry and the others are allowing the Aurors to take all the credit.
