Whew. Great story. Again, couldn't stop reading it. It's good to see Johnny opening up and for Kel and Dix to finally speak their feelings. I was disappointed when the show dropped their relationship. Var

this is a heartbreaking story - and it feels so immediate and real. It's nice that you gave Kelly and Dixie some sort of resolution to their relationship. I feel so desperately sad for Johnny and what he had to endure. I think you did a brilliant job on the debrief after the initial accident, and having the guys keep an eye on each other for traumatic stress reactions. No kidding on the angst!

WOW! I didn't recognize your screen name when you reviewed my recent Hardcastle & McCormick story, so I checked to see if you wrote, too! Next to H&Mc, Emergency is my favorite show, and this story was AMAZING! The backstory to Johnny just seems to be so spot on and truly rationalize all of his behavior (he really does run in when everybody else is running out).
Heart-wrenching, but so nicely written.
Can't wait to read the rest of your stories!

This is a fantastic story and I loved Johnny's background story. I would love a story where his real age is revealed somehow and the consequences of that. I think that would make a great story and it could unfold in so many ways. Anyway, you're a good writer and this storyline is really good and you could go on with it in fairly limitless ways. Thanks for sharing your story.

Wonderful story :) Loved the way you delved into everyone's viewpoints - I thought it was very realistic and you did a great job with it.

I really loved both of your stories, and about the back ground of Johnny. I liked how the interaction between all the charters. I really loved Kel and Johnny interaction on both stories. Have to say cap and chief calls where great also. I loved how he could trust Kel more then Roy cause sometimes you need someone else to talk to. I loved how you brought cap into the story also. I know your best friend can turn on you. Thanks for writting such wonderful stories. Keep up the great work can't wait till your next one.

It's a relief that Johnny didn't make a rash decision and it is nice to see him open up about his past a bit to someone he trusts. Good chapter and story. Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us :)

I love Kel's phase about Johnny being an old soul even though he was the youngest. I can relate to that. I was the youngest grandchild on both sides. I love to talk to old people. My best frined in HS used to get almost mad that I would stay up later than she would and talk to her mother (in the very room that I'm writing this in - I later bought the house) and loved to talk with her Grandmother who used to try her nerves. Yet, it was her who interceded when my own Grandmother tried my nerves. I had my father's approval to go out, my frined showed up, GM wanted to try to stop me by saying she wasn't sure if Dad had given me permission. I had money from him to go. She said but it's getting dark and going to rain. I was all but counting 10 when my firend said, My car has windshild wipes and head lights for those problems and pushed me out the door before I could run off at the mouth.
