“You never ‘don’t know’ Bones and you never do something without a reason.” Ha! That's so true. Awesome.
'She had begun to carefully collect data on love and emotions lately and she had come to an important conclusion: as much as Booth would clearly rather keep work and personal life separate, she was developing an increasing desire to merge them.' *This* is wonderful! It's so good to see the human Brennan more and more, and this piece definitely sums it up!
She cares what Booth thinks more than about the science? So sweet!
It's just like Booth to know that sooner or later one of their moments will turn into a forever. I loved that he seized the opportunity when he could, and their foreheads resting against each other's will always be one of my favorite images.
So fabulous! Definitely sweet dreams for me tonight!

He took hold of the moment and moved closer to her until there was nothing between them, going slowly so as not to spook her. He gently placed his arms around her and settled her into his embrace before letting his forehead rest against hers.
“Is this okay?” he whispered.
She nodded and breathed out a whisper soft “yes.”
That is one of the most intimate passages I think I've ever read. Period. I don't even know what to say.
Yeah. Pretty much speechless.
Wait, I remember. Thank you for writing something so special for us.

I do love your episode tag-ons! They're lovely and always pick up on relevant points and this one is no exception.
“Bones, you didn’t actually believe that your frontal lobe would remain the size of a raisin as long as you had never consciously done something wrong did you?” He couldn’t wrap his mind around his partner thinking something so….unscientific. - That's a very relevant observation. It's not in character for Brennan at all, great point to address in an episode tag.
I really like the exchange between them and you truly capture them in these lines:
“I don’t know.”
Booth only shook his head. “You never ‘don’t know’ Bones and you never do something without a reason.”
This part in the episode screamed for a follow-up, good for you for doing just that:
“Are you going to answer the question?” he prodded.
“Maybe it’s personal.” She looked over at him.

I was not a great fan of this episode...but I am a fan of this tag. They really needed to have something like this in BitO, considering the next episode is the penultimate one of the season & there should have been some tangible lead in to what we know is coming in the finale.
Love that Booth says & does what he can to put Brennan at ease & be happy, to make her feel a part of the 'real' world. He opens her up to all kinds of experiences.
**“No, of course not. Frontal lobes develop at different rates depending on sex and environment, but everyone’s is developed by their thirties whether or not they’ve been good or bad.”
...now this sounds more like the Brennan that we know...not the one who was concerned about the size of her own frontal lobe. You have Brennan down pat. :-)

I must admit that I felt rather offended, on Brennan's behalf, at Booth's "It's personal" comment. After all the times he has got into her personal space...her personal life...asked her personal questions...the closeness that they share...how well they know each other...it just seemed wrong for him to say that. I was disappointed that that the conversation was ended at that point. I loved your version...how Booth was aware that his brusqueness with her, did affect her...glad he realized the error of his ways & apologized to her.

Oh my goodness, the moments at the end where Booth was holding her and kissing her were just SO beautiful! If only it could happen like that on the show! I'm afraid I'm going to be immensely dissatisfied with how they do it on the show after reading all of the great fanfiction stories on this site, haha. Wonderful job!

And just like you mentioned, Booth HAS been being more open recently AND most definitely been taking more liberties with Brennan (like, common, he touches her every second he has a chance to!) But then again, looking at the previews for the next epsiode and the finale... OMG? Bren? With a kid? With Booth? Not sure I am completely ready for this to tell the truth 0_0

I loved how you captured the feel of the moment as the episode ended and then you perfectly changed the tone into something more intimate. Your characterization was spot on; a true feat mind you! Especially since we rarely - if ever - get to see what these two are like AFTER their little moments.
I really liked “You did Booth,” she pressed, “or you wouldn’t have said it. You clearly have an aspect of your life that you want to keep separate from work and…I can respect that.” I was thinking of tagging this ep as well, and my thoughts were that Brennan might be a little hurt that he wasn't willing to share with her at the moment, but she would also be understanding. Because that's how Brennan is - no nonsense. But of course Booth would pick up on it and make every effort to convince her that yes, she IS his confidante. And she would end up being very pleased at his revelation. Of course she's more than work, more than coffee. Puh-Leze!
