This is fab. I loved the start:
"...despite the fact that sports were simply an updated custom practiced by ancient tribes of preparing young men for battle, she could get behind that."
So very Brennan! LOL.
I loved Booth teasing her asking her question after question and sensing that she didn't fully believe her own arguments. Very clever.
The end was hot. An M rated sequel would be welcome anytime! :)

Ha! I love Brennan breaking sports down to its most basic elements, yet still "getting" why Booth enjoys them.
Woohoo for foot massages!
No, I *so* think Booth should have told her that he, rather than a younger guy, was more capable of pleasing her. And proves it. :D
I like how you tied in the 'eventuallys' and 'somedays.'
'Booth sensed her internal struggle. He knew her heart wasn’t in her words and he refused to believe that all of her recent questions about love didn’t indicate a new openness toward deeper attachments.' I think that's my favorite line. Just, aw!
I really like how easy Booth goes from being angry with her to comforting her. It's so Booth, too.

Yet another great episode tag! AND it's from an episode you've already written another tag for. I'm impressed that you were able to come up with two separate, equally good ones.
The opening paragraph shows how Brennan has gained some insight when it comes to Booth. This is a Brennan and a Booth far from the ones they were in the first few episodes. (I'd like to think Booth has gained some insights too, just because he is more like most people than Brennan it doesn't mean he hasn't got anything to learn.)
**Another recently acquired tidbit about Booth: his foot massages were to die for. - That sentence is a brilliant way of illustrating how they are growing closer.

"Why can’t a woman’s self esteem be boosted by a man older than her?" He caught himself before insisting that a man of thrity-five had to be better at pleasing a woman than some green kid. - Even if he didn't say that last part aloud it's blatantly obvious that was exactly what was on his mind ;)
**Was she in the market for a younger man? God, he hoped not. If she was then he really had failed in his recent attempts to let her know who and what he was talking about whenever he used words like ‘eventually’ and ‘someday’. - Maybe someone needs to start thinking about not being quite so vague...

Wow...when you get on a roll...there is no stopping you! lol. Hopefully your inspriration will continue long past next weeks episode & take us through the loong months of the hiatus...sweet, fluffy fics from you will certainly make it a bit more bearable.
I liked these intimate images of B&B - a nice quiet evening in together, a beer, television (loved how she had come to accept Booth's need for sport) & a foot massage...yep very couple-y. :-)
Had to laugh at Booth just blurting out the question about Brennan's earlier "younger men" comment...it had obviously been weighing on his mind. Loved seeing this insecure side of Booth.
**"Wouldn't a woman want someone who might understand her better because he’s seen as much of life as she has. Don’t experiences and personal and intellectual compatibility count for something?”
...hmm...who do we know that would fit the bill? LOL.
**I know you Bones and you don’t even believe what you say anymore!”
...spot on!...but she has to keep up the facade, as she doesn't like to be proven wrong...she has slowly come to realize that she does have doubts about a lot of things that she had previously been so adamant about...as evidenced by tonights episode.
**“But you’re right Booth? What’s stopping me? Why do I feel the need to sabotage myself?
“You just need the opportunity,”
“Maybe you could give me that opportunity.”
...yep...there it was!...the perfect segue for her to admit to Booth that she wanted "more". I was happy to see that it was Brennan who finally took the first step.

Weren’t you the one who came to me saying you wished you believed in love, that you could learn to lose yourself in someone else?" and Brennan's "Maybe you could give me that opportunity."
