That was sad enough that I cannot find the words to express how I feel. I honestly loved this short oneshot.
If I could see time, I would see this: everything and nothing, now and forever. A vast expanse of... existance. It exists, and yet it doesn't. The past, the present, and the future, rolled up into one long timeline in the center of the universe. There is no past, for that time is gone. There is no present, for once experienced it becomes the past. There is no future, for those events have yet to happen. Time is a never-ending void of everything and nothing, and it cannot be defined by mortal terms.
That probably doesn't help you much, but it is what comes to mind when I think of time.

Good Story, I liked the image of him glancing in the window and seeing his reflection. Also, the little quote from Jackson was just so perfect!
Hmm, if I could see time, it would be millions of threads, each a distinct colour until the person dies, then it either turns glowing white, or burning black. But, that's just me trying to put something I can hardly wrap my brain around, into something visual.

Oh, poor Doctor =( I love the emotion you put into this, it seemed to describe the Doctor perfectly. I really like fics where the Doctor gets emotional, seeing as he rarely ever does in the actual shows. Great job!
"If you could see time, what would it look like?"
I reckon it depends what you mean by 'Time'. If he could see the passage of time passing as he lived his life, I'd imagine it was something like swirling mists, or else streaks of light like motion lines. My mind keeps leaping back to the image of spinning clocks (curse you, Majora's Mask!) but that might be a bit too...cartoony =) Hope this helped!

Brilliant story! Yeah, i made a little tribute to his companions w/Christina, called "If You Said yes". Plz check it out! Great job! Also, if i could see time, it would be a never-ending void with stars and different centuries and little items wrapped in it, bits and pieces of the 12st century, prehistoric times, 17th century and so forth.
