Oh. My. Gosh.
This was absolutely beautiful! Loved it like none other! This is the kind of hope I had coming in to look for fanfiction for this game. You've woven everything from the game and your own improvising so wonderfully. I'm impressed beyond words.
The mood stayed consistent, the atmosphere mature and solemn. The quiet love/lust. 3
The way you ended it… 0.0
I think “Shadows” was my favorite over all though.
I never thought to think Raphael as a vampire. It makes perfect sense though. I quite like it. *nods* Makes me feel silly for not drawing in the lines like that myself. Much more tangible than just being cursed by Soul Edge.

amazing. You always write this pairing so well. :D I wish I had more to say but the words won't come out as I wish them to.

I've written at least three iterations of this review, all of which quickly descended into nothing so much as a squeeing mess of fangirling. This one likely won't fare much better, but I'll try.
I've had several people tell me that they look up to me and my interpretation of Raph/Cass. My response is always the same: "I look up to Freya Sacksen." Your writing is poetic and fluid in a way I can only hope to one day achieve; in a piece like this, only such a deft hand could provide such a sense of darkness and shadows to subtly enhance the horror and grant the story as a whole a kind of disturbing, unsettling feel-exactly the feeling well-done Raph/Cass should evoke, and the exact feeling I get every time I finish one of your stories.
I love the way you wrote Amy as jealous and possessive, angry and cruel. I love the idea of a damned soul holding onto his god as his last vestige of humanity. I love Raphael being cruel and denying. I love Cassandra having a cheeky nose.
Your writing is such a gift, Freya, and I'm so grateful that you shared it with us once again.
-Anysia, who also thanks you for the dedication and celebratory well-wishing. :)

This is my favorite pairing and you did a wonderful job capturing the characters and their relationship. I loved the talk between Raph and Amy. Fantastic job!

eep~ i have a terrible weakness for jealous!Amy, and while she's not the focus of this piece what is here is just, urrgh. wonderful in a very evil way. i really enjoy the casual amorality and cruelty Raphael and Amy display - it feels very true to how they're portrayed in the game.
also your metaphors are *delicious*.
on a nitpicky note: with dialog, if you don't follow speech with 'he said' (or any similar phrase) and start a new paragraph, it should end with a period, not a comma, even if what was said could be considered fragmentary or incomplete.
thanks for sharing this~
