There are a few questionable moments in the first chapter with the first being Kyoya saying a friendly nice to meet you with an exclamation mark. Kyoya Ootori, exclaiming ‘nice to meet you!’? WellOOC already?
Secondly, is one of the side characters calling her a ‘Yankee’. If she’s a Yankee than why does she have a Japanese name? Surely if she was American she would have an American name? And if she is indeed Japanese, a student being taught in a prestigious private school would definitely know the difference between an American and a Japanese person.
Inconsistencies make the quality dwindle, and the fact that it’s happening in the first chapter is just asking a well-read reader to drop the book.

You know I think it finally clicks why the Demon king is ‘mom’, he cares. Any he would do anything to protect the ones he cares about.
Also he likes control and pushing (Black mailing) the boundaries of others to get results, but for gain as well as the best for what and who he cares for.
...I wonder how I’d turn out if he was my mom, ...prolly wonder why he got stuck with ...ugh ‘Dad’ ...shiver
