I really like where your story is going so far. It has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next chapter. I really enjoyed the Harry/Ginny interaction.
One thing, though, is nagging me. In Chapter 2, you said that Harry, Ron, and Hermione overheard the conversation about Sirius Black. However, how was Harry there if he did not have the Map enabling him to sneak out of the castle. Unless, since this is an AU story, Harry had his permission slip signed. But this is a small trival matter, I was just curious.

Very good chapter
Their going to kick themselves when they realize about scbbers.
I mean, who else is that close to Ron when he sleeps.
Ginny seemed in character to me. Just growing up differently due to a diferent set of circustances.

Regarding the crack and disappearance of the twins inside Hogwarts: this sounds exactly how the house elves apparate inside Hogwarts. Maybe the twins will also share this talent with Ginny but with no one else?
So everyone, Harry and her brothers are all super-protective of the only girl in the Weasley family. The map plus teaching Ginny how to apparate within Hogwarts would give her the ability to be independent of this unwanted overprotectiveness. She will be able to put Harry and everyone else who wants to be overprotective at a distance. She will be able to make real friends who treat her as an equal.
I hope that you update again soon.
