Reading this ginormous chapter in one sitting was excruciatingly long (why, oh why, did I think starting it at a mildly late hour was a good idea) but well worth it! I absolutely adored finally having Roy's POV and my desire for such a thing has been saturated to the point that I'm very excited to see Ed's POV again xD
To the hopes of seeing more of Al's opinions be it through his letter or his POV (god, I love how the changes in the story have driven these inseperable brothers apart even though it slowly shreds my soul at how wrong it feels), I shall formally thank you for writing and not abandonning this amaxing story :D

I'm so glad this is updating again! I thought it was dead. So imagine my shock when three minutes before lunch break ends, I get an update notification for this!
Originally I read chapter twelve on Ao3, but seeing as only two people commented here for the newest chapter, I thought I'd post my thoughts here.
I do have to say, your writing style has evolved a lot, and it shows in this chapter. (not that I'm complaining) And the knife that Roy gave Ed, it's part of a pair from a married couple right? I wonder who has the other knife...
And I'm crying so much because, Nina? You SAID IT WAS A FIX-IT?(even if other things were broken, I didn't think you'd let this shard fall off)
I loved loved loved Ed's analysing of people, he can see so much when he actually takes the time to LOOK.
And I remember in an earlier chapter(maybe 11?), the narrative mentioned that Ed could FEEL the alchemy in the ballroom(party room) and instinctively knew what alchemy was being used(heating arrays). Will this ever come up again? I hope so! it sounds like something interesting!

Due to his research contract ed's confined to central now, no? I do wish he'll travel at least half as much as he did in canon, his travels being such important part of the fullmetal tale. Talking of fullmetal, wonder what name bradley will give him.
