Ha, SO white. Scarcely had to think about it.
Weddings squick the hell out of me, but this was too well-played to pass up. Beatrix ALWAYS wins, gwahaha. She's such a fox (in more ways than one.) Watching Steiner sweat was even better, and I love his graceful "surrender."

White. You are good at this. =] Though I read them a while back, I didn't review for the first two (apologies). Regardless, I'm fairly certain they were yellow and red respectively. I love the use of imaginative hints to create the feeling of a color theme. It's a wonderful idea! So creative and I'm enjoying it immensely. Of course, I enjoy all of your work, so I suppose that last statement goes without saying. =]

Haha. Great chapter, and hey! Some Zidane/Dagger action, even if it's 'off-screen' and some Steiner/Beatrix. I don't know what it is about those two, but I enjoy them as a couple.

I love Beatrix and Steiner! They were Steiner and Beatrix to the very dot - Steiner's nerves and Beatrix's slyness (which I thought was very Beatrix! Even though, yes, it doesn't show up that much in the game.)
Especially loved this scene:
“Lord Zidane,” she corrects (to irk him).
“Y-yes. Lord Zidane. He likes all the theatrics. He wanted a parade through the streets Alexandria – can you believe it? The nerve of that rapscallion! As if five ceremonies and being flaunted before hundreds of onlookers and some of the most respectable individuals in the world is not enough! Why sometimes I ought to just –“
“Would I wear a dress, I wonder?”

You know what threw me off for a bit? All the buttercups I've ever seen (especially the ones that grew around my old house) were pink. I had to stop and think about it before googling up some buttercups-and voila, they're yellow. I am bemused.
Anyway this is utterly charming, with a dash of bittersweet. I like how Vivi always manages to be offhandedly wise and thoughtful for his small age. And Eiko's attitude always makes things spicy and fun.
Ah, sometimes the little things in life are the best-like this ficlet! I'll be looking forward to more.

Either way, a well written chapter and I can't wait to read on. Hoping for some Zidane/GarnetDagger action. Also, my guess for the color of this chapter is maybe.. yellow? Chocobo + the sun + the buttercup flowers (which are yellow)? Just a guess.
