Poor Plato! It's bad enough his father is The Napoleon of Crime, but his mother's singing about it? I like how Pouncival respects him here and shuts up. Plato may get him into trouble sometimes and tease him, but in the end they are friends and look out for each other. He understands that it's wrong and unfair to blame Plato for who his father is, Pouncival has a good sense of justice. He's a fine tom.
Defending Jerrie and Teazer, that was great too. I always thought that was a bit mean to bring up Jerrie's history with Macavity like that. And he attacked Jellylorum for accusing Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer of taking Demeter? Well, they are family.
The Wandering Eye! Eyes off Demeter, Pounci! It's hard for teens to control themselves, (Hell, it's hard for adults to control themselves) but he's trying.

This was wonderful, told from the point of view of the youngest tom in the tribe, at his first ball. His sarcasm, his innocence and childish nature, his, if you'll forgive me, horniness, and his adorable sweetness.
It's great how he felt such sadness and guilt over his actions toward Grizabella. He's not a bad kitten, he's clumsy and naive. I also like how he felt such kindness and sympathy toward Plato and his situation, how he felt Demeter mistreated him for being her son by Macavity, and how he deserved better. And when he stood up for Mungojerrie during 'Macavity, The Mystery Cat' when he was wrongly listed as a henchcat of Macavity, and noting that Mungo bravely fought Macavity when he attacked the tribe, as did everyone, including Pouncival himself. His sadness over old Gus' situation, you could see on the film that he was moved by Gus' song, but you put it into words. He might be a silly, fun-loving kitten, but he has more heart, compassion and understanding than many of his elders, like Tugger.
His mind constantly jumps around, but so does mine, and his insights on the entire affair are very unique and entertaining. He's not a detached narrator, he's emotionally involved in everything, when he's not distracted by random thoughts. He has his opinion of each cat, and isn't shy about expressing them, at least to the reader. He's mischievous and hyperactive, playful, naive, romantic, sweet, shy, sarcastic, empathetic, a bit arrogant when it comes to his own sex appeal yet innocent.
I really enjoyed this story, it filled in gaps, like where he was when the queens were singing about Macavity and when Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were singing their song. How he felt when Tugger knocked him down and spanked him (jerk), his remorse over hurting Grizabella, his joy at her being chosen for The Heavyside Layer. He's well-rounded (not like Bustopher!), and far more than just an excitable kitten.

For someone who flirts with every queen-kit and her mother, Tugger is a jealous creep.
I like how Plato was teasing Pounci about Bomba just using him, but got angry and protective when Tugger spitefully said the same thing. And Pouncival bringing up what his parents were doing during the mating dance when they tried to judge him over Bombalurina!
Just what I'd expect from a bunch of toms, sneaking off to brag about their 'conquests'. But Pounci wasn't bragging, he was more in awe. Then, of course, he was terrified because of Tugger, that big, stupid oaf.
Poor kit just fainted away when Bomba asked him to mate with her again. Now they are officially mates! She really wanted him! He's on top of the world, now!

The Pekes and The Pollicles was a wonderful part, except for the remarks about the Chinese. Honestly, they can turn Tugger into a freaking teenage rapper but they can't change the racist lyrics to one song? (two, if you count the one about Growltiger) Regardless, Pouncival was adorable as the little Pollicle, and Munkustrap is a meanie! And I loved when Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were trying to figure out how to bark properly.
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer was my favorite segment of the show, the song and dance routine was amazing. Mungojerrie was tied with Pouncival for a while as my favorite, but I finally had to decide on Pounci. He only had two solo words, 'and bright!', but he still managed to steal the show for me with his charisma and constant antics onstage.
Bustopher Jones... Eh. Knocking poor Pounce over with his spoon. The song was good, when the queens are singing, but the character is kind of pointless to me. Just a rich, fat cat

It was clear that Plato pushed him into it, literally. Jerk. Pounci's young and does what his friend's tell him. Sadly, he has some rather stupid friends. In his defence, even if it was intentional, everyone there, the adults, anyway, were acting like they wanted to attack her, and Tugger seemed to say something extremely unpleasant and vulgar when he saw her. I like to think that he was just trying to imitate everyone else, like he always does, not out of meanness.
And Demeter saying she ought to be dead. That's cold.
I like how he so shamelessly describes how he took advantage of Bombalurina's lust to get himself groped, just sticking his butt high in the air and rubbing against her leg, not caring what the other toms thought... After Tugger molested him. I mean, he literally knocked him down, sat on him and smacked his butt. I think Plato would have enjoyed that treatment, he was acting like a teenage girl at a boy band concert...
Tugger is such a creep. Pouncival's descriptions of him were hilarious and accurate. He's all of those things and more. Hopefully he distracted Jenny enough to forget to punish Pouncival, but with his luck, I doubt it.
That was one of my favorite scenes, Pouncival in his beetle outfit running onstage and swinging his hips, trying to be sexy. Then his goofy 'Oh, well' smile and shrug when Jenny catches him. He's just too much.

Pouncival is my favorite cat, and I love this portrayal of him. Young, high-spirited, clumsy, a the attention span of a muffin. I never thought of Rumpleteazer as Pounci's sister, that has to be a new one. It works, though. And finally naming the queen who was the same actress as Grizabella. Chessica is a great name.

And it should read 'Familiar with candle, with book and with bell.' Not 'belle'.
One Etcetera is more than enough to deafen London. And it was a bit creepy when Tantomile and Coricopat were leaning over each other like that.

All-in-all, this is one of the greatest fanfics I have ever read. You see, CATS is my favorite musical of all time.
Examining the play through Pouncival's eyes was a remarkably good advantage and an impressive quality. It would have been niced to have seen a little Pounce/Bomba after "The Addressing Of Cats," but this ending is completely acceptable. After all, it is your fanfic and I DO like the idea of using my own imagination to decide what happened afterwards.
By the way, if you have the time, do you suppose you could read and review my CATS fanfic "Magic Meets Love?" I have already finished it, but I would like to know what other people think of it. (I am asking you this because I am sure you are someone of great taste and talent).
