I find this family to be fascinating and can only imagine that this AU would be equally as fascinating: a world where Dumbledore is killed before Harry ever even reaches the age to attend Hogwarts is in and of itself a plot twist I have never seen even without anything about Luna's Maternal extended family or Harry being removed from the Dursleys.

Dumbledore really had no right to place Harry with the Dursleys, since Lily and James wouldn’t have wanted that. The bond of blood charms that Dumbledore claimed to have used were bogus, since Petunia abused and neglected Harry as much as Vernon. Plus, Harry never experienced love and that made it more clear that Harry didn’t belong with his relatives. Dumbledore’s claims that Lily used a blood protection to keep Harry safe was just an assumption, but I feel certain that Lily’s sacrificial protection was based on love and not blood. The ole coot was determined to ensure that his Greater Good plan succeeded at all costs. Good to see the ole coot getting caught, arrested, tried, and convicted. Great one-shot, keep up the hard work!
